Noguchi Finemet transformers are very good -and pricey- products, but Noguchi closed at 2018.
When these phono chokes was available in 2016, the price was more "better: 150+172 USD/channel.
This ebay price (228+250 USD/channel) a little bit higher. 😛
p.s. as a comparison at this time Silvercore sells complete LCR (two pieces) modules for 390 EUR, and full silver for 920 EUR.

Thanks, just noticed Hashimoto only has inductors no RC.
It is a much better idea to get inductors only. Ime all the modules contain the crappiest possible caps that would fit in a small case. Which makes sense as the manufacturer's are winders, not audiophiles.

Shall we call that a blanket (read "stupid") statement??

The Noguchi store closed, but they are still making transformers at:
東京秋葉原 | ゼネラルトランス販売株式会社
These are made by Mr. Suzuki.
Transformers for 300b build
"theaudiofeast.com sell Teramoto Finement Nanocrystalline Output Transformers made by Mr Suzuki formally the winder for Noguchi Transformers now out of business.
They are essentially Noguchi rebranded but have tried them and are exceptional in performance quite a bit cheaper than Monolith Magnetics Nano but still not cheap "
The prices are a little higher, but the material and the manual job costing is high in Japan.

Noguchi closed in 2018, not only the store, but the firm.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at, but if you actually read the link you posted:
JE Labs: Noguchi Transformer Co. Ltd, Closing.
You will find the same thing I posted above. That Noguchi closed their store, but that the same transformers can be purchased at:
東京秋葉原 | ゼネラルトランス販売株式会社
I've ordered the same Noguchi items I bought in the their store in 2016, online at at GTrans, and they are indeed exactly the same items.
To add something positive to this thread, Noguchi also makes a $120 set of inductors with standard iron cores. I bought a set on a visit, but haven't had a chance to build anything with them. However, I've been super happy with the service (from both Noguchi and Gtrans), but have found that having a real person to translate can be super helpful.
Long live Tokyo Radio Dept Store.

Hi would like to ask for advice with regards to finemet chokes, are they better than lundahl ones? (For DHT preamp) And worth the price? What kind of sound improvements do they bring? Thanks!
It certainly will be interesting to know. Fwiw, i found out i could not stand the Noguchi finemet interstage transformers and as a result tend to be cautious. Lundahl's riaa chokes have permalloy cores, perhaps the sonic opposite of finemet, but i am not sure i hear any of the typical permalloy attributes. It is possible there is more to the sound of cores than just the material.

Hi
I have done some LCR phono.
https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/the-lcr-phono-stage.381065/
using Sowter 1280 inductors.
The I switch to a custom stuff done by a little company in Italy.
The technical comparision are very fine and no differences are seen
