Great initiative!
Does anyone have an idea on how this would compare to say a F6?
Good luck everyone!

10W!!!??? For $500 I was hoping for at least a 1000 watts!
Kidding, please don't ban me 😀
If you love watts, you have plenty dissipating 😀

It's the first watt that counts!

Someone really should use that name for a company!

they sound the same
In terms of sound, to which FW amp(s) is this VFET amp most similar? and which one(s) the most different from? Why and in what ways? Thanks 🙂
Is there any advantage of using this opto isolator based CCS over the older style CCS using a small signal transistor ?
This is the answer Pa posted when I asked the same question
The LED has the advantage of a lower temperature coefficient than the
junction of an npn transistor.
Haven't waded through the thread, but is there any hope that Sony 2SK60 or 2SJ18 would work in some version of kit? I have a few of these harvested.
OOPs! I just read NP's document and it says versions for 2SK60 and 2SJ18 will be made, Thanks!
If I get parts and make successful amp, I will likely gift the rest to other DIY. It looks like a project I can handle after shockingly I made a working Pass Korg B1 as my first DIY Project (been using it for over a year now).

Wow 115 pages of enteries!
@Papa pass
Why did you decide to go with a current gain stage for the the final project and not a common source voltage gain stage?
Was it a cost descion, ie do follower stages lend themselves better to switching supplies. compatibility issue, followers work better with more speakers. Sound quality, do these vfets work better as a follower?
