MR's L'amp variation is scalable, so it's pretty easy to build a 30W SE with Token based on his schematics. The most efficient way is using a choke, then CCS. I guess we can build a 25-30W stereo amp in regular 100Wx2 chassis with 2 chokes. It may require a pair of quiet Noctua fan though.

I think the Singing Bush is closer to 35W.
In order to have 30W single ended and less heat sinking, current source load or resistor load has to be avoided as they require heat sinking to dissipate heat. So choke or light bulb loading.

You're quite right Soundhappy. Sir Rothacher has done some wonderful work and generously shared it all with us.
Thank you too for your great SIT work!

I'm wondering if there will be DIY version single ended but kind of half way between SissySit and Burning Bush in power, maybe around 30 watts for a more manageable chassis.
I believe ..... it'll be

though, not necessary SE
lower heat SE (vs. Singing Bush) - Greedy Boyz already did, using choke as a load
no other way to have high enough voltage across SIT (it's a must to keep THD at least so-so at bay), without skyrocething with heat)
so, DEF is a way
lhquam already made his own, and I'll have something in future
Pa ......... well, he's Pa
as usual - you can expect Blasphemy from him, any moment, any day ........ (just when you think that you've seen it all, there he is ..... )

I think I'm ready. Or maybe I should get some backup 2SK182ES...
I see some NEC triode inside the box
Have data sheet of 2SJ20 and 2SK70 ?

I am still trying to lure him out to the coast to help me put all these
transistors to work.

My bags are packed. Can I live in one of your storage units? 🙂
A many years ago pioneer DIY projects work was made by Mr. Michael Rothacher
aka AudioMaker | DIY Audio Projects, Etc.
He bring us first Sony Vfet's discovering on the forum and construction articles
and in year 2014 show high power Tokin 2SK180 , SIT modeling software,
how build curve tracer and much more..
VLOG #1: Curve Tracer, Big VFET, SIT Modelling, Ironamp - YouTube
Thanks Sir Rothacher for all fabulous energy and teaching 🙂 Kind regards
There's more fun on the horizon. I promise.

Next Burning Amp ???
Maybe Mike and ZM together with you Nelson
It would take my brain a month to unwind
After this awful pandemic, finally meeting ZM, hanging out with Nelson again, and seeing all my audio friends would certainly be a spectacular treat. 🙂
Did I mention that I got my first vaccination 5 days ago?
