The Black Hole......

I for one am familiar with male nurses, who would just about tackle a patient and strap them into their bed! But of course they try to avoid that, but sometimes it is needed for the violent physcotic patients!

Now if you want to upset a nurse, leak a bit so they have to change the sheets. I did upset one who was working on Christmas Day, by keeping tripping an alarm. Her replacement just showed me the reset button.

Then there was the one who caught my catheter in her cart as she was wheeling it away!

Hopefully none of you will ever have these kinds of problems.

Moral of the story don't require a hospital stay over Christmas. The folks working are at the bottom of the pecking order and are not happy to be working!

If that isnt the biggest generalization, how do humans behave? Humans can usually control there behavour and thats what scientific training is for. You can learn to minimize your biasis, ever hear of blind listening?

It is one of the topics where it seems that we always have to start at zero. 😉

Sure, humans are able to learn to control their (or some bias or to a certain degree) biases and the scientific toolbox helps in doing so, but very often there is no systematic approach to learn about proper scientific work in the educational process. Studying philosophy of science is often not mandatory.

As a result, whenever a study is done which examines the quality of published scientific work, it finds that a surprising number contains serious flaws.
