As the mids have paper cones the tears may be repairable by brushing diluted PVC adhesive across the tears.
Work on both sides of the cone - if the rear of the cone is accessible.

Yes like those but not is quite such spectacular condition. I'll post pics when ai get home.
Photos of both mid cones. They have some loft insulation suck to the outside circumference that's why they look a bit hairy.

The cone on the left has a radial rip while the cone on the right is separating from the (is it foam?) surround - am I correct?

The fact that the loft insulation has stuck to the surrounds suggest that they have gone soft and sticky - correct?
If that is the case, repair would involve sourcing and fitting new surrounds, which may prove problematical.

I will do that at some point soon. I think the radial tear could be mended with diluted PVA glue, perhaps?
Yes, but separation from the rubber or foam flexible surround is more of a problem.
A replacement mid driver may be the way to go. Examination and measurement of the existing mid may suggest a way forward.

Nice to see those old SS speakers, the cat must have used them as massage utensils. As Galu said already, I'd replace both mid and high drivers for comparable (& affordable/fixable) drivers, no one will notice.
