... I just don't have the resources to solve that all.

You know, besides the good ones it's also good to have some that would actually sell 🙂Here we go - acoustic design by "pretty flowers" #nextgenwavguides!!
I don't know, haven't tried. I will post some ABEC projects of these for someone with a powerful machine. Without any x-y symmetry the number of BEM elements jumps basically four-fold. I don't know what time increase that represents, but I suspect it will be much more than that. One of the larger ones has 15000 elements...

It seems there are endless variations on shapes like this, which all perform pretty good. In a rounded box it would be better still.
Of course they do and I can see you had a lot of fun with that. What I meant here was that the higher DI would be maintained to lower frequencies than for the infinite baffle.

I got a Threadripper 3960X and 64GB memory so I can try to help on something more complicated when I got time. Do feel free to ask 🙂
Great! So let's see what you can do 🙂
- Almost 24k elements. Feel free to adjust the number of frequencies in "solving.txt" (NumFrequencies=) to a multiple of your threads available.
(Maybe this one is already a little too dense - I can easily provide a sparser one if needed.)

Yeah, 64GB isn't anywhere near enough for this. Pages over 170GB on top of that... Yet CPU load remains less than 10%.
Edit: Premature. Now it starts to happen, it just needed couple of mins to prepare it.
Edit 2: Looks like it's the ABEC which slows things down.

I wonder if dividing the interior into several subdomains would help here, that's something I want to try for a long time - I almost have it ready.
You can also try this - it's a flat-back version, "only" 17k of now slightly bigger elements.

And did you set the number of threads used in ABEC? (Options / Preferences / Processing)Edit 2: Looks like it's the ABEC which slows things down.
