Blowing sony 2sd69

Well Cosmo61 both John,s choice and your choice will work the main specs are in the correct range but the problem with equivalent books when recommending a substitute is the smaller specs and I always look at the biasing for a set output gain and your -

2SD69 has an HFE of 60+ at 100ma bias .

Your circuit is designed to those specs the others need a much heavier current for (approx ) the same output.

The original BJT is a bit of an oldball, one book quotes your replacement choice but whatever one you choose check the power voltage output .

Thanks for the input.
Maybe it's harder to get a replace part that i thought 🙂
Without rebuild the circuit.
The 2SC926A-5 control the bias max 30mA

Maybe soon or later an original part shows up on ebay

Looking at the schematics, there is not a 2SD69 fitted, it was originally 2SD28.
I would fit a 2N3055 or anything of that spec.
There is a maximum of 45volts DC on it and the current draw is minimal. Or am I looking at the wrong transistor?

Thank's
It something going on here.
The 2sd69 dont exist in the circiut.
Maybe someone switch it earlier?

The Q 904 is replaced with 2sd69 on the circiut (185 to 150v rail).

The original in the Sonys partlist is 2sc807. 😀
