Who cares if they take 1000 G's ? - we must assume that whatever is inside them is capable of taking it. Your laptop experiences this kind of abuse when you drop it on the floor. Nobody said these UFO's have frail humans inside :p

Sonic booms? Let me guess, more alien tech. Changing directions at Mach3 in .1 sec is 10000 Gs like to see your laptop after that.

I think gravity is best visualized as something warping the "sapce-time fabric" of the gravity field and that causes a local potential minima, and things "fall in" to the minima. If there is a device that can warp this fabric, it can move and levitate at will. This model is consistent with the math behind the equation of gravity. Is there something with low mass that somehow can warp the fabric, perhaps upwards even in which case, it can push the object along like a wave and a surfer.

It is just another dimension that we cannot tactile, and we cannot directly feel or see, but is there. Think how we can warp the magnetic and electric fields (fabric of EM space) with a local electron flow in wires or a powerful magnet.

This is a very nice explanation of space time fabric and what gravity really is:

XRK971> yes that is more or less the description Hal Puthoff and Eric Davis have made, basically extreme warping of spacetime in a very localized area. The craft basically "fall" into the desired direction, while inside the craft itself you wouldn't even notice. The localized field distortion is so strong it makes the surrounding matter slip around it, but without interfering with it, so no sonic booms. Equal ease of movement in space or water, and little chance of collision with anything outside the distortion. They've dubbed the field spacetime metric engineering and claim they are fully consistent with GR. I don't have the expertise to evaluate that though.

Still my interest in the tech is small compared to the sea change in government response to claims and video footage, and the implications that it holds.

John might do a search to the email discussions between Davis, Puthoff, and outside scientist (maybe Pais?) where they discuss the proposed physics.

Again, we can all argue whether these data crumbs are real ET's out here in the peanut gallery, but the actual experts involved have moved past that. To them it is clear what these craft are, and the only question now is how do we design and manufacture our own. That fact alone should give us pause.

I don’t share at all your faith in these gentlemen. There are many highly respected scientists in the world, very few if any of whom share the same conviction as this very tiny collection of ‘experts’, experts who make a living and derive notoriety from their unorthodox views. Real science builds a broad consensus, is supported by evidence and results that are placed in the public domain and shown to be repeatable and able to survive varied and thorough scrutiny. There has always been champions for fringe ideas but they rarely survive the hard reality of professional scrutiny. Cold fusion being an example.

There are many rarely observed but interesting phenomena in the universe. Early humans ascribed gods to phenomena we now call lightning. Much of what we see that used to be a mystery is now easy to explain, whether it be a mirage, a rainbow, an aurora, or sprites in the upper atmosphere but I accept there are still some to be explained. I see no reason to ascribe them to gods or et’s just yet.

It appears that the U.S. Navy has declassified the technology that Lazar described thirty years ago, so I thought I'd take a crack at deciphering the patent.

So here we go... Gravitational Waveguides.

Saturday

I'm definitely not well versed in quantum physics, I'm just an electronic engineer.
the patent (US10144532B2 - Craft using an inertial mass reduction device
- Google Patents
) feels like its full of so much pseudo-technical cruft it could have been written by an audiophile
“ The vacuum energy state can be described as an aggregate/collective state, comprised of the superposition of all quantum fields' fluctuations permeating the entire fabric of spacetime.”
Doesn’t really seem to say much at all. But he indicates its seemingly obvious that we can use the “interaction” between this energy state and high intensity fields?
“Mathematically, as well as physically, electromagnetic field intensity can be represented as the product of electric field strength and magnetic field strength.”
This is like saying torque is equal to force times length. High school EM.

“Electromagnetic fields act as carriers for both energy and momentum, thus interacting with physical entities at the most fundamental level.”
What does this even mean? Anything with momentum has energy. Anything with energy has momentum
All of this just doesn’t make me feel like this is the kind of guy who is coming up with revolutionary drives. If the navy believes him, his probably just a skilled conman, able to sell others on his one cra*

The UFO stuff presented on Rogan by the pilot is very interesting, but my feeling is that lazar has put forward some bull. His whole thing about element 115, seems to have proven itself false. he obviously talked about 115 many years before it was synthesized because it was meant to be in the stability island. but this seems to not be the case from measurements so far. Makes me think all the rest of his huge claims are suspect.

I'm just not sold on the patent. plenty of interest in the ufo video though!

Just skimmed the Patent. I didn't understand much of it,

And it gets worse...

David H. Froning gets cited as an authority.

Anybody think this might be crackpot technology?

Spoon bending works, we have a prove at watching Matrix movie ! You have a second prove with Iron Man movie :umbrella: that flight better than sota jet fighters!

Btw about gravitational horns that black holes are : is it the light that is absorbed or is the space curved that produce light can not be seen from outside ?

Faster than light tends to desintegration of any particles ? But if the space is curved, what about the speed after the acretion disc in a black hole with light ?.... pffff I wish parents gave me a brain !

One of the things about this rabbit hole is that it seems like there's a 33% chance that this stuff might be real, but there's also a 33% chance that it might be a very intricate hoax.

For instance, the Navy may be in possession of advanced technology.

Or the patents may be an attempt to lead other countries on a wild (and expensive) goose chase.

Keep in mind that if the U.S. has this technology, it's basically a game changer, whoever has this technology will be hundreds of years more advanced than the competition. And the Chinese have been working to acquire this for over 30 years:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/campfin/stories/satellite120598.htm

"Sources said the matter began this fall when a CIA analyst specializing in Chinese technology, Ronald Pandolfi, was called to the Senate committee and told staff members that he had concluded in 1995 that Hughes had been too aggressive in marketing high-technology equipment in China.

At the time, according to an account from several sources, Pandolfi conducted interviews with Hughes executives about their work in China, causing Hughes to complain angrily to the CIA that he was operating outside of customary channels. The CIA office that regularly deals with Hughes reprimanded Pandolfi, who, after being summoned by the committee, in September laid out a set of accusations against the firm, sources said."

Pandolfi works for the CIA, and it's never been clear if he's researching authentic technology, or if he's involved in disinformation.

Some info on Pandolfi:

The Global Intelligence Files - Is Ron Pandolfi the CIA's "Real-life X-files" Fox Mulder?

If this stuff is real - and obviously that's an open question - it seems that the power source of the original craft was destroyed.

Something I've pondered, is that the Navy patents may have been published in an attempt to get people interested in figuring out a power source.

IE, maybe the government has been banging their head against a wall, for 70+ years, trying to figure out the power source, without success.

OR, much more likely, there was no extra terrestrial craft landing on the earth anywhere, at any time, including a desert in the US. Which means there is no power source to figure out. If the US wants to keep it's obvious technical-military lead then look to history - you need to have a strong economy to pay for it and a management system that will stand the test of time (where decisions are made without too much emotion); often it helps to have allies.

The patents were made public only because somebody felt that it was useful to do so - nobody does nothin for nothin.

Phew, a rabbithole indeed! We all know how Spoon-bending is done, don't we?

But interesting. I think these patents are just Junk Science, so why not release them? :)

Meeting girls from Space has always interested many diyaudio.com members, since Earth Girls apparently just don't care about loudspeakers. :D

Back to Flying Saucers...

Wikileaks said:
Some theories of HFGW are loosely related to the esoteric research of
UFO propulsion systems, including the so-called Podkletnov Effect, named
after the Russian experimentalist who briefly dazzled the aerospace
industry, including NASA, with claims of antigravity effects and
gravity-like force beams.

The UFO physics of high frequency gravity waves, the Chinese connection,
and a possible case of international espionage concealed inside the UFO
"core story" were the proverbial tips of the iceberg.

Down to Earth, the US government became concerned that Hughes Aircraft were divulging ballistiic missile technology to the inscrutable Chinese in an effort to get a cheap launch platform for satellites.

Washington Post ca. 1998 said:
It's not known whether U.S. government officials believe Hughes's communications with Chinese authorities in 1995 about space technology harmed U.S. security in any way. But Air Force intelligence officials have concluded that Loral's transfer of data in 1996 may have hurt U.S. national security by helping the Chinese to improve their ballistic missiles.

In both cases, the companies' disclosure of technical data followed failed launches of China's balky Long March rockets carrying the firms' satellites into space.

In January 1996 a Long March rocket lifting off from a remote mountainous site in southwestern China exploded, destroying the Hughes satellite aboard and raining down fiery metal that killed hundreds of villagers. Chinese space officials, traditionally defensive and close-mouthed, blamed the Hughes satellite, saying it had caused the explosion. Western space executives scoffed at the accusation.

The Chinese stance presented a quandary for Hughes, since the firm wanted to remain in favor with China's space program as a cheap launch alternative. But Hughes officials privately explained to some in the U.S. space community that the Long March rocket was responsible for the accident. The Chinese "became unglued" at what it viewed as Hughes's audacity, an industry official said.

Clearly all this Flying Saucer stuff is hoey. Personally I can't think of anything that goes faster than light, or backwards in time. A belief in psychic powers isn't my idea of a good bet either.

But all the Spy versus Spy stuff is just what paranoid governments have been doing for years. And stealing military and industrial secrets is always profitable. Come to think of it, I know some stuff too. But if I told you, I'd have to shoot you.

no shortage of bool krap for sure

if they could spend their time and money on a new series of UFO, that would be something! They had boys, girls and aliens. Unfortunately the original crew will be hard to replace, no more Ed Bishop but Gabrielle Drake is still alive.
