All my red led's give a reading round about 1.724 volts; is this ok?
No problem.
Awesome, thanks for letting us knowIt's arrived. Top Quality board !
I picked up the Chinese manufactured R-core mentioned earlier in the thread (R26-90); took 5 weeks arrive, but it's here now!
What he ^ said. I got mine on eBay ... search R26-90 but doesn't look like any right now. The seller I got mine from was along1986090 and it took a long time to ship. Analog Metric also sells it. I have used them in the past and they ship much quicker.
I also ordered the R26-90 from China and received it in about 3 weeks. I picked up some K75-10 capacitors from Russia to try but now that I see how big they are I may have to try another brand.
What unloaded secondary voltages are you guys getting with the R26-90's. Particularly the high voltage one.
Usually about 185-190V, That's perfectly OK, in fact a loaded voltage of around 175+ is just what's needed.
Thank you. I was concerned when my transformer was reading 179 volts. Nearly good to go just waiting on some valve bases which are overdue.

I don't recall unloaded voltage but it works perfect for this PCB.
Thanks Craig.
Regarding first power up is it best to leave the valves out and confirm voltages? If so what voltages and where? Or is it simply a case of having everything plugged in lighting the blue touch paper and standing back? Light bulb tester in place of course.

I always power up tube gear for the first time with a dim bulb tester and no tubes. Heater voltage is very important but B+ will be high since no load.
Any more interested parties for RD2 of the GB?
If we could get to 10, that would be enough to get them ordered
