ignore list

I think you should bare in mind this is a private forum

I agree... some would do well to scrub their brains clean and naked as to start again fresh. 😉

I'm with Jan in my extremely limited use of ignore, which is limited to a couple users who say the same thing ad infinitum, so I can skim right past the nonsense and know the gist of what's written by just seeing the poster's name.

It's an anti-stupid measure (I don't reply to the nonsense) and one that makes my experience here better. Lots and lots of folks that I wholesale disagree with (and could have the book of logical fallacies written ON them...) are in plain view, which is good. We need differing opinions.

Also, I can't think of another forum as well maintained as this one, so kudos to the moderators. Not to say there isn't a better maintained one, but I haven't crossed it. 🙂

I'm often ignorant and people still seem to like me so there's some truth in only ignoring once the three traits combine.

I have a tendency to ignore when someone does any of these intentionally and is not willing to accept feedback about. When you're ignorant and you know it, and you don't want to change, then that feels like a good reason to not bother. It's wasted energy. Efficiency > xmax

Bambi is just so darn cute, you can get away with just about anything. 😀

Takk venn, som er vennlig (thanks friend, that's friendly.)

I can even get away with not speaking one of the most used languages on this planet. I studied Norwegian for a while when I spoke to friends from Norway. Oddly enough I no longer do because they became arrogant to me and I started to ignore them.

Not sure how to respond to that, except that there seems to be plenty of arrogance to go around.
In my limited experience, you'll find all kinds of personalities everywhere. Anywhere I've been on this ball we live on, I've met people that have been: silly, smart, nice, arrogant, caring, depressed, positive, selfish, sharing, and so on an so forth.

Hope you have friends that care about you, as you care about them.

I don't have a lot of people that I call my friends, but they are good, and they somehow even manage to tolerate me.
That's enough. 🙂
