The numbers don't add up at all. I am as certain as I can be without testing, that we've had it. All the initiatives and restrictions now in effect are at the very least two weeks late. Doesn't take two months to take the plane from China to wherever, so much traffic and goods going to and from there...

Regular gas here is $2.37 a gallon at the station where I usually fill up, roughly $1 cheaper than a month ago.
Unfortunately my car requires premium which is still a lot more expensive.

WV is typically in the middle of the range gas price wise. In all of my travels South Carolina is the cheapest, and it is usually about 15% less than WV.
This has more to do with the crude oil price wars between Russia and Saudi Arabia than the coronavirus.

This doesn't seem feasable as well. It is true that you will come out really fast, and you will get a population that will start earlier to work worldwide, but what will be the human cost? In which countries can this be acceptable?
I think most countries have done their calculation based on the available hospitals (so how many people can be critical at the same time), the speed of the diffusion at different levels of restriction (military on the roads will come in some undisciplinated areas, as China did), and the needed time to infect the expected number of people, so the needed time with a country totally frozen and its social and financial impact.
It will happen also when international travels will start again. Imagine in how many poor countries the virus will spread undetected in the following months/years.
My elderly mother is in hospital at the moment, starting today she is only allowed one visitor at a time, can anyone explain the logic of that to me?
If 5 people per patient enters the hospital, and one is positive, you'll get 5 times infected people compared to one visitor only, and 5 times more possibility to bring infection to already not healty people.
Logic and heart always debate. Imagine what would happen if in one day hospitals avoid you to see your ill beloved. People need to get used to hard rules, and come to them step by step.

Of course don't stop corticoids if you have a long term disease as asthma, just avoid what is not a vital need as a skin medication corticoid based or for sport purpose. Always double check any advice to avoid hoax (notice I'm not doctor I get the information from a medical review on TV today). ALWAYS ask your doctor before changing a medication and DON'T go for automedication behavior : some youth died from breath distress and covid-19 in hodpitals due to some corticoids and ibuprofens family pain killer pills. These last being in many home for headache, muscular pain, back pain, etc : better to take care, just in case : these two medics were involved each time with the youths , ibuprophen taken at the beginning of the flu symptoms from what I heard.
Paracetamol is ok but I didn't say never go above 4g per 24 hours, too much paractamol can kill (overdose). Ask your doctor read the notices.
The main virus driver is digital : hands, so it's everywhere for a time according what is touched : better attitude is to stay away from each others and take care at work- of course it can be breath if to close or sealed too little room or people too close 4 to 7 feets distance advised;
Nevertheless, here in a Europe people were asked in biggest countries to stay at home if they can (You must for >70 years old and kids/student) : Closing the frontiers for the biggest countries is too late now and is more about politic, just stop flying, stop to go from town to town or state to state. Staying at home again IS the best if you can... but for what is really needed. Don't panic at stocking food.
Keep cool, 98% are the first numbers we have in CE about curred people with no further problems. Indidual behavior however can kill as experienced in Italy and elswhere : doctors who catches the virus, lack of hospital beds, people going to panic and flood (...threads...sorry just kidding at me) emergency call lines for advices
... Be solidar, help your partners in business, think about priorities for few weeks. For instance in Italy, a lux tissus industry redisigned their factory in very fast time to produce masks ("Redisign to Save" vs "redisgn to cost" is the word who came in mind.)

I confirm, due to lack of export in India and Romania, we converted some of our companies into masks producers. I hope it will help.
Heard this today from my wife (a molecular biologist -- they all chat) -- this might be the second hit of the virus in the US -- prior episode in the beginning of the flu season last year among grade school children.
It's all conjecture. US will see a big jump next week -- we now have drive in testing centers in which they swab your nose and send you the results in a few days!
There has been a suggestion over here that some of the tests have a very high incidence of false positives.

Here it's all about science : they closed all the unecessary places, the bars and cultured places but SAID cultual places where one's pray stayed open 😀

What is the evidence that ibuprofen and NSAIDs are causing complications? If you have a source I would be very curious.
