sounds like Shakespeare.... (drama, romantics,... cojones) 😀.
Oh, I forgot to play the fanfares / trumpets of glory for Zen Mod.
I will do now... (where is the trumpet and the gong to give it some Zen-style?)😕

still THF51S at heatsink , tried 2A4 Iq , measurements at 1W comparable with 3A Iq, both for 30v and for 35V set at output node;
tried 2A Iq , same thing ........
Removed THF51S , took random 2SK182ES and did some playing ......
at 2A and 2A4 for Iq , opposite behavior comparing to THF - smaller THD at lower voltage at node
dialed back to 3A Iq and made set of measurements for 30V and 35V at output node ..........

The Larch! 8R load
removed wires from puny 2SK182ES , removed protecting cover form The Larch , mounted gain pcb again on The Larch, and put The Larch in good use ......
The Larch!
my EMU1212 setup didn't had enough cojones to move The Larch to 10% THD , so that's why I stopped at lower

Conclusions .....
Is it worth to make Lesser Larch/slightly Hysteric Singing Bush, either with THF51S or 2SK182ES ?
Having an eye on last lhquam's musings - he's Da Man when Math and Scientific approach are needed - SIT measurements, Mu Follower, and amplifier build ........ I'll put back TH51S these days and play little more with basic factors (rail voltage, Iq .... dunno what can be done varying Mu gain) trying to find most satisfactory combo of THD vs. power and Cojones
Anyway , even with presented/tried basic factors , I would go and build any of these - whatever you have in drawer
if you don't have it and you intent to - maybe is little better to opt for THF
as I said the other day , I have pair of monoblocks to make for my Polish guy ...... old cases of his (now) defunct Aleph X monoblocks are crying for some heat ...... 🙂
