I have this sony ta-f 530 es, my problem is that the axle on volume potentiometer is broken,
Part number is 1-237-472-11. Written on pot is . 7-472-12-120K X2
Anybody here have a solution ? Know where to buy such pot ?
And yes I have searched wide, the closest was a second hand pot from Russia, but specs were different.

The only suggestion I have is to dismantle this assembly and transplant a new shaft from a similar model potentiometer in place of the broken one.
Hi and thanks for your replies, I've thought about both drilling and a new shaft, but I tried turning the pot with signal and speaker, and left channel sounds lower and making slight hum as if a ground is broken, so I don't think it's a way to go.
This may sound stupid but how about drilling a 6mm hole in pcb and mount a new pot on some kind of metal support and axle through pcb, the centre appears to be in ground plane of pcb and no other traces pass through,

You could mount a standard pot. in the existing location and you only need to add some leads to connect the top wafer at the 180° to the lower wafer leads. If it needs more rigidity in the mounting, it may be possible to incorporate some of the existing long connector links.
You'll need to lose the loudness adjustment and compensate for that change but loudness controls? I don't think anyone would miss them nowadays.

On the contrary, having a loudness feature is desirable to some people.
It's not a bad thing, however the endless sickening whines of self-proclaimed purists always seem to reject this feature.
I don’t have the oem part but I may have one that you could mod into it and get it up and running
I've looked at the pot and got an idea, the pot is tightened onto a thin metal plate with its nut, that leaves 13mm of pot thread in excess, how about carefully sawing away the excess thread, that would give roughly 10mm of pot axle, on the new pot and, put a connector and a fitting length rod, maybe not as sturdy as the old, but close.
