This is classic cherry picking. I try to present an overall picture and 'they' dismiss it by picking on single sentences.

Well, there are indeed people out there who are not, they understand the import of these things.

It is what it is, the issue will not just languish because a small minority wants it to go away.

But why should I be surprised? Progress of every kind, even thinking, has always been opposed.

At least he is persistent and tireless ;)

Don't worry, even I have my limits. It is called... let me think... maybe patience?

Seriously, this conversation is now happening in a number of places, so it is not that I am totally alone out on a perch. Being persistent is knowing to be on the right side, and not being alone.

Pavel, I am working on measurement and it will be ready when it is ready. I know what I need to capture, but as I know you know, it's all about finding that targeted measurement. I am also discussing this with others, some of them with IQs greater than mine. But the quality I have that may make up for that, maybe is called persistence.

To DF96 (would love to know his name as he sure knows mine), think of this as an equivalence to the British Bulldog Spirit.

To DF96, I told you I was an Anglophile.

And yes, for those who asked, my Mother tongue is indeed Danish. It was the Great Dane, Sir Peter Laurits Jensen, that invented the moving coil loudspeaker in 1915. He was born near where my Grandmother lived.

My bedtime, I shall wake up to see the next bunch of denunciations. It is becoming my morning ritual.

Oh, and my humour is very Danish indeed!

Joe, I must be doing something wrong, and I am waiting for your kind advice.

1) I have simulated a vintage power amplifier with a speaker complex dummy load and I am measuring a distortion of current flowing into the speaker through R21,
2) I have added a parallel resistor R10 to help the amplifier to see more flat phase of the output current and to reduce the back EMF distortion,
3) But what happened? Oh boy, the distortion of speaker current has increased when I used the 4 ohm parallel resistor. How is it possible? Would you advise me?

Just before going AWOL: YouTube

Mike played the Sydney Symphony Orchestra's Concert Grand Steinway. It was recorded using a Speiden SF12 Stereo Ribbon Microphone in 'MS' configuration. The SF12 was fed to a custom RTP valve preamp with inbuilt MS matrix and then directly to a Studer C37 stereo valve recorder modified by Tim de Paravicini. This machine is unique in that it runs one inch half track heads and a special pre-emphasis curve. Monitoring was via Accoustat Spectra 11's and Rogers LS35A powered by EAR549 200 watt valve amplifiers. Tape used was BASF 911. The one inch analog master was transferred directly to SONY Super Bit Mapping Processor for CD mastering. No limiting, compression or equalisation was used at any point in the recording process. Track 2 is my favourite, download full resolution here: TheSibyllineFragranceOfGardenias.flac

Goodnight.

No, we are merely picking the parts of your 'picture' which are expressed sufficiently clearly that we know they are wrong. We strongly suspect that the rest of the picture is wrong too but to refute that we would first have to enter a discussion to clarify what you actually mean by the words you put together. On those occasions when we have done this we usually find that either you are wrong or you are saying something trivial in a roundabout way.

Seriously, this conversation is now happening in a number of places,
You mean that we are not alone in trying to put you straight? That is nice to know.

Mhm, that is interesting and raises several questions:
-) where was the FUD?
-) what should be the independent variable in the listening test, DF ? ´which loudspeaker(s) would you recommend?
-) which kind of result would corrobate your "FUD assertion?
More evasive maneuver, as expected.
Yeah, really. Or you mean you don't post here with your audio business interest?
But anyway, Feynman was not and his advice (you know the easiest one to fool .........) and his remarks were spot on wrt what science should be about.
Try it, there is nothing to loose...... ;)
Your evasive maneuver above is because you have something to lose.... ;)

Joe, I don't know why these guys always make it all about you.
