yesss... they are toooo small for normal heatsink and if there is any need, will be some Serbian ikebana 😀
I am finally done with this thread as part of my ongoing investigation for my own version. What I missed is the explanation for the added output (current buffer) which is found in the UGS Muse edition compared to the original UGS which only use the std UGS modules. (Voltage and current buffer). I know both are designed by Flat / CheffDeGaar.
Another thing I also kinda missed was that very few tried the CUGS (Chad UGS) version. No matter, I will try both UGS and CUGS 🙂

Two questions for you Ine 🙂
1.) When and how did the UGS6 with adapter become available ? I am on page 34 of the UGS-muse preamp GB thread, so if it is present there, I've not come to it yet.
2.) How does the pre-amp sound with and without the MUSES Buffer stage ??
You don't need the buffer stage. It does not do any advantage to the design (measured, and listened to)
Thank you for the feedback. One less circuit to "worry" about. 🙂You don't need the buffer stage. It does not do any advantage to the design (measured, and listened to)
So, UGS6 ... a bit of a secret ????

What is Chad UGS or CUGS?

Dont need for classic version or Muse version? Classic version had attenuation with high output resistance...
Sure will. Its going to take a while since I am (re)designing the UGS Muse edition. I still have a few pages left to read on the UGS-muse preamp GB thread, done with the original French forum thread and this UGS adventure thread. So a few more days and I should have all of the information on how and why. Then I can take a step back and organize everything and move forward. If you are interested in my adventure, you can sub the build thread and follow it there 🙂thanks Omenide, let us know how it sounds🙂
UGS-Muse Scion Preamplifier
Thanks 🙂 I consider the UGS Muse as one of the best preamps on the market and one thing is for certain, I intend to throw the best components at it since I intend to keep the Scion edition around for a long time.I just subscribed. Thats an awesome looking pre.
