Hello everyone,
I was wondering what clones of commercially available speakers are out there. I searched for similar topics, but couldn't find any topics containing lists. So if you answer here, I will update the list below.
For a start:
Grimm Audio LS1 clone
Nola Brio clone - build plan in #178
B&W 800 (1)

There's a lady called Dewi Sarah from Indonesia, who makes some awesome clones. She posts on the FB DIY loudspeaker group regularly
In regards to their looks or are they properly engineered as well?who makes some awesome clones
"Unfortunately" I don't have FB, but maybe she has a homepage.
I built a pair of Proac Response 2.5 clones many years back. I still use them. I recall there being lots of cloned designs. How close they are to the original was always debated.
It used to be the Madisound forum with the designs, but I haven't looked there in many years.

Not sure if you can see her homepage without login. Her finishing may not be your cup of tea but kind of blew me away that she's a lady successfully building a ton of speakers from a tyre shop

As a testament to the effective reduction of edge diffraction, there are several well documented clones of the "Avalon Style" truncated pyramid cabinet. A basic well braced rectangular box, with a thick front baffle allowing deep angled edge cuts.

I edited my starpost.
Although the Ardent are quite nice but not realy a clone 🙂 The ProAc seem interesting, but the homepage doesn't work for some reason...

How do you clone d28, how do you get the woofer?
I have not yet seen a clone but ophidian should not be that hard to clone since they uses standard seas and dayton drivers as it seems
Great question Soldy. I'm also interested in such designs.....particularly if anyone has made a similar design/clone of the tekton lore reference. I would like to build a 96db or more design like that or pi speakers. Could anyone help please?.Thanks.

I asked her on the FB group how she selected her drivers and simulated her cabinets.
She doesn't. She builds nice cabinets but has no idea about speaker design.
