Edit: When I got home my only puncture repair kit had dried out glue so back to the shops by car.
On the upside the new repair kit I bought has self adhesive patches, ie peel and stick instant repair, brilliant.

I had my armageddon puncture of the year recently. A large flint chip about 6mm long. I heard the 'click click' from the back but thought it was a stiff chain link. Nope. Tore the tyre up and completely defeated the slime in the inner tube. All 3 tubes of glue were dry. Luckily had spare tyre and inner tube to go on.

Over last 25 years all bar 1 of my punctures have been flint washed onto the road by rain.

Electric handbrakes seem ok to me. I have one on my (beautiful) Citroen C4. although the kids have long grown up and left the house, a people carrier is the most practical of all cars IMV and the French excel at them (I had a Renault about 15 years ago)

It also has leg and back massager (I kid you not). Parking brake is automatic (apply and release), economy mode, reversing camera, giant sun roof etc etc.

The best car I ever had was a Mercedes E220 which I thought well and truly bested the BM325i that I got after that.

But the Citroen comes a close second.

You can guess its all about comfort and class with me. If I ever win the lottery, it will be the biggest Merc available fully loaded.

It comes with amusing/endearing/suggestive/disturbing dash layout

Yes.. pig ugly for sure. But The W12 TT Bentley gets Better gas mileage. Around the hilly roads here it gets 17 mpg actual. The Mustang is mpg rated as anything(?) UP TO 16. UP TO ????

THx-RNMarsh

The regular 5.0 V8 Mustang GT gets 16 mpg city 25 mpg highway

The base model I4 turbo gets 21 mpg city 32 mpg highway

The 16 MPG combined is for the GT350 which is the flat plane crank NA V8 with 8250 RPM redline. - 14 city 21 highway.

The Bentley W12 CGT is 12 city 21 highway, so 15 combined. So it's actually slightly less efficient than the GT350. Those are all official numbers.

Also note for our friends across the pond these are US gallons not Imperial gallons, 10 US MPG is 12 MPG in the UK.

Oh and I must warn you away from Hyperion. They are bad and their website should be avoided. They have worked out how to tap the collector. So 20 years ago over a few beers they decided to do a CD of rarely recorded Romantic piano concertos. They are up to volume 77 now and of course once you start... Many of these are premiere recordings and some of those have never been recorded before for very good reasons.

It is truly a golden age for music lovers.

I clearly have more in common with Richard than you on my driving style. I can't get over 40mpg even on long runs in a diesel. You're not the guy in the inside line at 55 with a pork pie hat on are you 😛

Nah. It’s a 1600 6 speed automatic with 3 cylinders. I like the middle lane.

I’ve given up trying to race around. Too old but not quite ready for the pork pie hat.
