CSS SDX10 Sealed Subwoofers

Thanx for the QC.

The document is as much a tutorial with some explicient example boxes. Could be modified/scaled for any driver that is happy in a sealed box. ie one could replace 1 SDX10 with 2 SDX7, or SDX12 (althou i prefer the 10”). With changes only to driver cut-outs, rebates and holes-brace required.

I finished the sub tonight, but it is too late to play with it much. Will post more tomorrow.

DaveFred’s woofer is a good example of a sealed box. His own take on the concepts using 2 x CSS SDX12. He dealt with woofer coupling different.

What are the details of the measurement? I had to best guess the scale.

I’m looking at this old thread with a few questions, what do you gain by building the large dual woofer version vs. the smaller dual woofer version? If you only had two drivers would you build two subs or go with a single dual opposed? Assume full range speakers with good bass output.

Thanks,
Robert
