A new firmware V1.19 is available for download on the RTX download page.
It solves the issue reported in post #2107 where the most negative value would create distortion. Thanks zfe for reporting this. I managed to reproduce it, but it took some effort to do so. Using your file and ASIO output did the trick.
The new firmware also improves the overflow indication

Download the zip file and unpack it to a folder on your Windows PC (sorry, Windows only).
Connect the RTX6001 to the PC.
Run the rtxusbaudioDfu.exe program.
Click "Browse" and locate the RTX6001_i2o2_V0119.bin file.
Click on the file and press "Open".
Click the "Start" button and wait for the programming to happen. Will only take a few seconds.
When finished, press "Exit".
Optionally you can also install the RTX6001_v1.19.exe control program. This program allows you to monitor and control the settings from the PC. Earlier versions will also work with the new firmware.

Reaper here. Some people love it and others.. I'm in the middle. It has stuff all over the place where you don't expect however it is extremely resource efficient and very stable. 2 handy traits.I have used Reaper and its not that onerous to use until you are doing some complex tasks. I know it sees a lot of use on major projects and some Grammy winning projects as well.
CAD systems have gotten a lot better. I used I-DEAS (the predecessor to Unigraphics) for a few years professionally and it took almost a year to get my head around it. A very stressful year. Solidworks / Solidedge are like a breath of fresh air in comparison to all above programs. Very intuitive. All the DAW's have steep learning curves. They are like major CAD systems.

Any news on how update the firmware without a Windows machine?
No. Thesycon does have a MAC version, but our license does not include it. And there are no plans to license it from Thesycon. So unfortunately you need a Windows PC to do it.

Who / what is Thesycon? I thought the RTX was Windows/Mac/Linux/whatever independent.

The XMOS driver vendor.
You can use it with Windows/MAC/Linux, but you only need the Thesycon driver for Windows. Once Windows gets full support for UAC2 the driver shouldn't be necessary. Win10 does have some support. I haven't really followed it closely, but as I understand it, there is some support for playback, but not for recording.
I am not sure if the DFU protocol is documented (generally available).

Hi Jens,
I still can't update the firmware using a Windows7 Pro desktop. It doesn't like Vista (laptop). I'm stuck with whatever it shipped with. The latest shield modifications went fine, just installed them.

Hi Jens,
Ok, I will try Google later. If it's documented we could likely whip up an python script reasonably easy.
Mogens (say hello to the guys, from me)

That's strange. It should work with Win7.
Do you have any further information regarding the process/error?
