speaking of that ........
Nelson Pass on the M2: "I created an amplifier using a transformer for voltage gain. Despite its mediocre measured performance, I thought it sounded quite good. I still had some misgivings about taking it to market particularly at the same time as the J2. But then my Japanese distributor asked to hear it so I sent them a prototype. Next I received photos from the Japanese show. Then a prominent reviewer committed to a review. Suddenly I had a lot of interest from all over Asia."
........ I can say that my rice - bag is biggest in the world , my Sake is meanest , angle of my eyes and color of my skin are even more Asian than you can imagine ....... so , ZM , World's Greatest Fan of M2 .
Buddha is everywhere , but especially cozy in M2

Acceptable Size of the box? $500 for drivers? Or drivers +XO? 🙂
We might work something interesting like two bass sections, but same mid+tweeter. One bass module for a passive XO and other for Nelson's B5 and separate power amp.
I have no limitation on box size, that's probably not the case for most people though. 4-5 cu ft is a reasonable size. I'm not sure what's a viable dollar amount maybe $600 with passive parts, if they're electrolytics people could upgarade and spend more if they wanted. I'm looking for suitable drivers, if you see anything you think is interesting let me know and I'll send them to you.
Hopefully I'm not the only one who is interested.
Hello,
Second hand zu, I found at reasonable distançe from home!
Good deal?, I have to go and check out the sound !
Not really my favourite colour, natural walnut or rustic hickory would have been great.
The seller is asking 1500€ before bargain,
I am not sure about the model, on picture they look to be omen mk2.
Sellers told me that he brought it in 2014, and does not know more about the model!

How did things turn out?
I'm using a pair of 1995 Castle Howard S1, at 92dB sensitivity my M2X has no problem driving them at all, I have also used a pair of Usher S-520 at 86dB and a pair of KE F reference 104aB, no dea about sensitivity of those.
All were driven well and at 1 stage the Ushers just seemed to disappear.
Anything with a benign impedance curve should work well.
