Hi guys, and please help. :wave2:

Using the p48 circuit from pic 1, do i need to omit highlighted parts in pic 2, and do i need protection diodes on the chip?

Help me and thanks in advance.

the ground symbols in the second pic are power ground.
The GND in the first pic look like they are connected to pin1 of the XLR balanced connector.

You have mixed up your grounding and enclosure.

Thanks Andrew for reply,

Heres the complete p48 circuit picture....I only followed schematics...Please let me know what should i do.

Yes omit the highlighted parts in pic 2 and you don't need 2 lots of protection diodes .

Thanks epicyclic,

Here's more complete that1512 schematic...the thing that's bothering me is....on this circuit protection diodes are connected to +15 and -15 rails...?

And can i mount 470pf capacitors inside xlr connector, and do i need to un-connect Pin 1 from signal ground to chassis?

I already mentioned...noob HELP :scratch1:

Thanks

Regarding protection diodes. That's what all gear uses. You have positive and negative signal swing.

Regading Capacitor, No. Cables should be straight connection. On my XLR balanced cables I don't connect the shell to Pin1, and all my gear is happy. Look at Rane note regarding pin1 problem.
