Glad you enjoyed it, interesting to hear Duke's reinterpretation of some of his classics and wonderfully subtle playing

I was playing that album again tonight (it's been a little while). (Money Jungle by Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, and Max Roach)

My daughter was working and my wife was at a friend's birthday (all female) so I cooked a steak and played a bunch of vinyl.

Just listened to Quadrophenia last weekend. That was pretty much my favorite LP in high school. "Doctor Jimmy and Mister Jim," indeed.

Dude111: Do you hear the sea whispering there at the beginning, among the crashing waves? Not the singing voice, but another... That still sends a bit of a chill up me back, heh. Makes me think, "Are you sitting comfortably? Then let's begin." 🙂
