I'll start a new list, if it gets to 10 units I'll order another batch.

Thanks - hopefully others will find this thread.🙂
Hi there,
Please, count me in for 2 displays. I´m in Spain. Thanks!
Welcome! Postage to Spain (and most of Europe) is no problem. I only use Royal mail 1st class recorded delivery for UK and Royal Mail international tracked for overseas, insured in both cases.
Anywhere else - I'll have to check the postage.

Pure Evoke Flow
Found this thread this morning, glad I did.
Hi, I have a Pure Evoke Flow which I bought around July 2009. Same thing happened to me with display started dimming earlier this year, contacted Pure and same thing, £70 etc, not very helpful to be honest. Can barely see display now, not happy as it cost about £140 at time of purchase, seems to be a common issue with this model from what I’ve read on the internet.
I’d be interested in a display unit please. May see if I can get someone to fit it locally as had it apart once trying to check if the connections were secure and think replacing might be beyond my capabilities.
Many thanks.
Justin

New to this forum, which I found in search of a replacement display to my radio, I came across this excellent source.
I would therefore like to join the "Badly in need of a Pure Evoke Flow display" - Club.
I will need one display sent to Denmark.

Hi AJSDyno,
Having mentioned before that I needed another display after fitting 2 others, it seems to have failed to register! Please add me to the list for 1 item.
Thanx.

Replacement is really easy, main thing is to get a torch to see where the ribbon cable goes into the connector, there is a tiny tab on each side of the connector which effectively jam the ribbon into the connector. these tabs need popping up and the ribbon just slides out.
Unscrew the 4 tiny screws securing the display back plate and lift out the display.
Gently peel off the copper backing shield and stick it to the new display.
Gently fold the ribbon over the back of the display and post it through the guide slot (which is stuck to the copper).
Refit, push ribbon into connector, push down the tabs, refit the back of the radio, turn it on, have a beer. Saved yourself loads by doing it yourself and rejuvenated a perfectly good radio.
Cheers!
Successful fix, thanks AJSDyno! I may go back in and remove the copper backing as it wasn't very flat by the time I got it off the old screen and I can see it twinkling in the sunlight.... I guess we'll all be back for more in another 6 years or so!
I have fitted the new display without peeling off and reapplying the copper backing from the old display. To me the new display looks fine.
Could you let me know what function the copper backing performs; I have the old display still so it would not be too much trouble to re-do the fix if it's really necessary!

It provides RF shielding and heat distribution, however - I'm not sure how essential it is.I have fitted the new display without peeling off and reapplying the copper backing from the old display. To me the new display looks fine.

Many thanks. I'll probably not bother taking it to bits again, as I have now set both the active and standby display options to "Off after 7 seconds" to make this display last forever, or at the very least to see me off!
