That is the exactly option we are trying to escape: caps in the audio path. Plus the CT choke would make it more efficient comparing to cathode resistors.

This is a fool's errand. Signal current will pass through caps, be them power supply caps, cathode bypass caps, or coupling caps. Bench is the only one I know who ever made an amp without any capacitors, and it was reported to sound like crap!
