i don´t know is it this phase lump what comes up when crossing tpl too low and makes it sound bit offensive.
i now play my system 18sound nsd1095+1086 crossing 2,5k, thats too much for jbl mid horn and 1" cd is more dirtier sounding than tpl200h is.
phase curve is much more flat 1095+1085 than with tpl200h

funktion one resolution 2 8" midrange horn
raw driver with and without waveguide
810hz dip is from back enclosure, went away with wool sock but 2300hz is driver related
been listening for awhile and it really goes high, 6k crossing looks easy,
feels beaming lets see polars some day

just figuring out 2,3k dip of death, its very similar that my lcao 6.5" has, if remember correctjbl cmcd82 has one too

polars and impedance curves taken, all data sent to vituixcad
rew messed up phasecurves, i presume its soundcard and 2-channel measurement
oh well, new day tomorrow

now i have compact inlow 135hz horns
funktion ones are now bitum damped
took polars 0-180 outdoors too
i dont know if that 135hz horn is a keeper, phase response looks like it have to be crossed over 200hz (LPBW), 200-400hz with inlow
im not happy about going to 200hz with bms 18"

quick 350hz LPBW xo without eq at listening spot, two 8" in horns
top end aint clean but gives effortless sound, db record in this room has been broken. kind of coherent not so hifi
looking for new 1" drivers from >5k, bms 4552?
nsd1095 lacked 3-6db @10k

Hey.
Why not the TPL above 1.8kHz?
BTW how do you post pictures in line with your text? I have only figured how to attach pictures at the bottom...

sure i will try tpl with 5k crossing but it lacks same 3-6 decibels as nsd1095
2,2k has been quite good compromise crossing with old fst horn
i dont know what you mean posting pics, try putting picture first, then text

been simulating tapped horn for bms 12N820
its 0,5pi
i dont know is it any optimal to use tapped from 50-250/300hz but i have those inlows, 50-175hz for this tapped?

there is some things going on inside round symmetric backcover, i have to change it to different one

inlow 135 hz horn being open on back dipole horn i had idea closing its back.
here you go, 15ms window around 80cm from mouth in-room

yesterday i did DIY boxes for funktion ones... with jigsaw and glue
build quality is finest of fine
such small boxes as these theres lots of resonances so thousand and one measurements showed more filling the better.
maybe i have to buy lamb wool or other to see whats difference between fillings on midrange.
less felt 200hz goes up 1-2db, 1100hz dip goes 2-3db deeper.

this automotive felt musn´t be the best?
I've always used that one. Easy to glue, cheap to purchase and Troels seems to favour it as well in his speakers. Enough reasons to why not 🙂

first run with these.
inlow is +10db over 12" bms in sealed
old set was really well tuned, feels really awkward after those
funktion 1 mid horn is too shallow to go 250hz with flat phase response, jbl is quite flat 420-2200hz.
theres an bit of an reflection from lower horn, i put pillow and cat pouch on it for a starter
bass what i got now, my lord, 70´s 9" heco vs. modern 18" high end bms, that is so dirty sounding
carpenter friend just started his 4weeks vacation so no tapped horn for long time

funktions seems to work with lots of toe-in, crosses 30cm front of spot
862 is back too, to match inlow with 18" sealed it had to come 8db down
b&c de25 seems to be 4-5db more sensitive over 8k against nsd1095, cant say better but im happy for now

taking bass boxes to warehouse
lost first octave or two, how do you count it. gained good bass for music.

Hey.
Which are the JBL that are quite flat from 420 to 2200Hz?
