Just noticed this. Big Spruce is great. They are located on Cape Breton Island, on a road called the Yankee Line. It is my understanding that the road, which I have driven many times, is calked the Yankee Line because it is so crooked.
Anyone watch Futurama? In the Slurm episode Frye and some others get addicted to Slurm (fictional soft drink), they eventually find out how it's produced, and then they continue to drink it after being totally disgusted. That's what alcohol is to us 🙂

Had a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout last night and it was fantastic. Their Bourbon Barrel Ale is amazing as well.

BWRX, that is a pretty good beer.
Not too much barrel, which I think is easy to over-do.
I would say that they have just about perfected it! As with most beers, it's best on tap. If you're ever in Lexington, KY get it at the source 🙂
Those are right up there with my favorite beers - Dogfish Head 90min IPA and Punkin Ale.
