What are you drinking?

Hehe. High speed on dirt tracks in clapped out cars through small mountain (volcano) villages between too close together buildings. Mind you, I've been on bus rides here on the Llyn Peninsular which were also at high speed.....we are talking narrow twisting lanes with interesting drops and very hard surfaces jutting out at silly gravity defying angles

Starting a few mornings each week off with "bulletproof" coffee - expresso or French pressed dark roasted beans, tossed in the blender with a tablespoon of unsalted butter per cup. The propaganda aside, makes for a nice and creamy cup.

It'd be fun to ask the baristas at Starbucks if they know what that is - kinda like getting an airport bartender to mix a proper Dark and Stormy - Lamb's Navy Rum, lime cordial and ginger ale, - really?

This week is always a full one mi casa - daughter Jennifer's today, (35 already, where'd the time go?- oh yah, just look in the mirror, Chris 😱), Father's Day, and mrs B's on the 20th .

There will be beverages involved - probably as good a time as any to take care of the remaining prosecco gifted for our wedding anniversary. Personally I'd rather keep it local with a nice Mission Hill Perpetua Chardonnay, or even Reserve Pinot Gris, but it was a gift from my mom - and if she likes it, why wouldn't I? .

gotta love that Costco - their pricing on wine in the Maui store was pretty amazing for a Cdn tourist. I just couldn't convince my wife that 40oz of gin would make just enough G&T for our 2 week stay - she'd rather have a Corona or, honest to God, Bud Light .

Wish 1.75's were $48 here. My post-retirement job was as wine buyer at a local fine wine and liquor store and we had samples from the same batch of Knob for a store Barrel Select. I was amazed at the barrel-to-barrel differences the first time we did this. Still waiting for a Costco in town. Closest one is 60 miles away 🙁
