PCM5242 also a good chip integrates minidsp,
especially the current DAC and 4.2Vrms differential outputs.

interesting. what is the gain of this amplifier? in dB.
it's 20dB,
input buffer set to 0dB.
Yes it looks like the PCM5242 would be a perfect compliment to your amp. Texas Instruments used it on the TIDA-00874 evaluation board:
TIDA-00874 High Fidelity 175W Class-D Audio Amplifier with Digital Inputs and Processing Reference Design | TI.com
It used the TPA3251d2 just like your amp. They published the test results here:

That evaluation board is no longer available.

Looks like your amplifier board is sold out on ebay. Congratulations on your success! Please let us know if there's another place to buy it.
Looks like your SMPS is still available with just a few remaining.

What's the minimum Current recommended for the PS?
I think it's been shown that the TPA32XX chips don't like less than 24V, 5A. I run both of mine at 36V, with a 9A supply.
It doesn't, they're VH3.96-2P, I got mine from Amazon:

Terrific. Thank you. I want to be sure I have everything I need ready, and it's the little things that can get overlooked.
What's the minimum Current recommended for the PS?
it depend the output power you expect,
in standby,100mA can meet running without audio input.
the efficiency of TPA32xx is 90%,so
the power supply =Audio output power / 90%,
then you can get what kind of current and voltage you need.
Wow, those 5 boards went fast! Can we expect any more?

As was my plan! I've been trying for over a year to find a 'D' amp to redo my small HT system. Tried several of the current popular design's and almost pulled the trigger on the 2092 Class D audio amps, but the $$$ would impact other much needed and budgeted circuitry(DDRC88A/BM).
Well I've waited this long and I recall being told, Good Things come to those who wait...........Sigh!

While I'm waiting for my board, how does the bass/low frequencies compare to the 3116?

Yours must be due very soon? Mine took less than 2 weeks (to the UK)
Depending upon which 3116, ranging from 'markedly better' to 'night and day'. It's a full bass, not boomy or intrusive, just seems to make my music more complete.
A modified YJ Audiobah clone was my favourite Class D board.
I use my amps to feed either an old pair of Mission 760, Q Audio 3020 bookshelf or 2050i floorstanders; the latter will sometimes require the rear facing ports to be bunged on bass heavy music, such as Carbon Based Lifeforms remixes.
It is a very impressive amp. I've just sprung for the 'matching' power supply, so am keen to see any improvement over the 36v smps I'm using now. I'm not very patient when waiting for parcels...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. My only complaint about the tpa3116 and similar is the bass is not as tight and controlled. I decided to get a connex power supply for the 3251 since they have 36v. I am using 8ohm speakers now and want to be sure i have enough power.
I've been curious about the q audio. They look like very good speakers for the money...
Finally got the amp. Got to listen for a few minutes today. First impressions: a little more clarity than the tpa3116 wiener but otherwise sounds the same, which is a good thing. More later.
