Thanks for the pictures, guys! Wish I could've been there. Next year!
Waiting for the presentation videos!

Great Job Charlie! Looks like a great event, looking forward to the videos as well. I was sad to have to miss for the first time in a long stretch.
Would have had to miss my wife's b-day... and it was a big, round number. So, I chose to live and DIY another day. 😉 Next time!

Just thinking about this a little more. If Papa went the absolute minimalist route he may have went with a lateral part to more closely match the temperature coefficient of the jfet and do away with source resistors.
The funny thing is some cruel bastard knows exactly what Papa presented in full detail, and isn't sharing with us poor pathetic dumb dodoses, and yet I still can't help wanting to guess what it might be, like it is some sought of secret.
Someone please put me out of my misery.
Hahahaha
too late for 2016, but I have watched 4 videos from 2015.
Quite a big part of the presentation is given to answering questions from the floor.
But I can't hear the questions and the presenter does not fully repeat the question, so it's difficult to understand the context of the replies.
Can you do something to allow us hear the questions in 2017 and beyond?

Boys' talk...
Haha young men on the left look heavyly bored 😀
Thanks a bunch Wavebourn for interesting photos and informations from 2016 BAF edition.
Greetings
That's one of the new telephone/water-bottles. Very tech!
Dave.
iBottle innovate communication by hydrogen particles.

guys has anyone seen the usual videos/slides from BAF ? I REALLY hope someone managed to record them and post - it would be a shame not to have preserved such valuable content for posterity's sake ...

I think he's holding it wrong.
Anybody catch the company/model of the speakers in Nelson Pass' room? Do they have a website?
They're the work of a Danish (or is it Belgian?) guy in a shed. No website, no way to buy them... Yet 🙂
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nelson had them at Burning Amp last year. The drivers are one off prototypes from Denmark. The fellow who made them didn't get funding for production.
The cabinets are Parts Express, I believe the .58 cu ft model. They seemed to be sealed.

Please be patient. Linear Systems recorded the lectures. In the past it took about 2 weeks for them to post process and then put them up on YouTube.
Too bad - we could have had live exchanges between BAF and European Triode Festival in Kopenhagen! Lots of mutually recognized names!
Jan
OH! That would have been fun!!
😀
It would! probably could relay our live music.
Need to think about it for next year.
VinylSavor blog show us what was happen on European Triode Festival 2016.
BAF & ETF two incredible works & stimulate Diyers meetings 🙂

The amp wouldn't have sounded as nice without the especially nice speakers.
during the last few hours of the demo, we ran the signal thru my DIY preamp, as an extra gain stage. nice to know it didn't degrade the signal any appreciable amount 😉
