We collected various Chinese DAC. This option is interesting. It does not require significant improvements, and the sound will be better. Resempler on ak4137 does not necessarily choose. There are simple board to ak4118.

The Aune S16 is an option that meets your requirement. AK4495, built in USB input, balance and RCA output, integrated headphone output. You can check out Amazon.

Drawback - compact SMD, difficult to modify.

There's another one going for $69... With those distances between electrolytics, smd decoupling caps and DAC chip, you may even have reasonable sound for that money. Plus, there's one of my favourite OP's... assuming it's an original 827 chip, which is very good chip...

You need two transformers.

First one should have 2 separate 9V AC windings - not centre-tapped.

The second transformer should be 2X15V AC, this one can be centre-tapped.
