Canadian too.
Which makes Cheech Marin a Mexi-CAN'd
(please ignore me, I smoked too much pot in the back of late-night cinemas in the '70/80s, watching Cheech & Chong flicks)
Surely you mean young Froderick Frankensteen.
It's common knowledge that Frankenstein was also Jewish.

I watched The Transporter Refueled last night.
Slick flick with cute chicks that's it. I give it one star (out of six).

"Do you have a Serious DVD Addiction? Well, you're not alone...I'm here....with Good News for our new and vaguely improved treatment for SDVDA. No more will you have to tolerate those annoying electrical shocks or those distracting drugs that just seem to make things worse or merely amusing in all the wrong places in front of those people who 'simply won't understand' your condition. Just send us your card numbers and their PINs and we'll give you something Real to shock you back to Normality...whatever IT is. So call us today....get a grip on yourself beyond your lap...."

After five years of telling myself I'm going to get a big Flat Screen tv for Christmas, I finally broke down and bought one last week.
I had planned on getting the Samsung UN65JU7100 and was waiting for it to go on sale, when the UN65JS8500 dropped to $2K. I was quite tempted by it but in the end bought a lower model (UN60JU6090) for less than half the price. I just couldn't justify the expenditure for the 65" model.
I've been watching Downton Abbey and a few SciFi movies.
I need to buy some blue-ray movies to try out.
No 3-D glasses yet, they are active and sold separate.

Last couple nights I watched Bridge of Spies and Southpaw, on Blu.
Both great flicks. I highly recommend the former, and I recommend the later.
Based in true events, Bridge of Spies tells the story of a lawyer who say value in trading a spy. Better than spilling more blood...one for two.
Boxing is no picnic, the ups can be tough to control, and the downs better to handle.
If there is poetry in boxing there is hope for our children...
The technical elements (music score and principal photography) complement the acting performances and onscreen action.
You'll be riveted and attracted intellectually...it'll entertain you...and that, is what @ the movies.
For more pictures (cover arts) and trailers, and clips and pro film critics, visit your browser or ask questions right here...your's truly. I can give you un condense or the full spectrum of light...on solid cinema foundations...only from your nearest art critic.

Just found this cool thread..........I recently acquired the Fringe and later Battlestar Galactica TV series BD sets, so been 'binging' on them in up-scaled 4k since I didn't get to see but a few 'bits n' pieces' of each during their runs.

Correction...couple typos in one sentence.

I just watched the 5 hour 'Madoff' on ABC TV. I thought it was good, but not many watched it.
The rise and fall of Bernie Madoff, whose Ponzi scheme bilked $65 billion from unsuspecting victims.

I've been watching Downton Abbey.
You mean you are being forced to watch DA, bound, gagged and under sedation.
Just finished watching the excellent 'House of Cards' and therefore really looking forward to the next series.
I do like some American TV series. They are very clever. 'The Wire' was a masterpiece and of course 'Breaking Bad' was incredible. Superb acting, scripts, character development and 'keep you guessing' plots make for, 'cannot wait for the next episode' watching.

DA isn't so bad, although I'm not normally into soap operas. Beer does help.
Last night my GF came over for a while and we watched about half of 2001 a Space Odyssey.
Considering it was made 48 years ago, not bad. There are a few technical screw-ups, but not so bad that it is un-watchable. Thrusters have no visible exhaust decelerating for the landing on the moon, or for the transport going to the excavation site.
Still probably one of the best SciFi movies ever made.

I do view it with wifey! But i have headphones and laptop in operation. I must say that the scene with the guy spewing blood on the dining room table was pretty good for PBS.

Saw most of it in the drive-in three times that summer, with the same girl. Every time I face-time my grand-daughters I think of it.

The 10th awaits you.
What will I be watching? The Game. Required by state ordinance (probably)...
Usually tune in for the millabuck commercials...today an actual interest. See if AVL tosses in a 'tourista pitch' so we can get overrun next summer.
Followed by the Puppy Bowl. We actually have 3 'players'...'entrants'...uh, 'selections' in the fray from here. One is a Plott hound (state dog) of which we've a Plott/Pit mix f/m who's as smart as our other (Border/Bassett m) is dumb. We'll plot for the Plott. *S*

Yup...they came....and then they went...down. *sigh*
Looked like a bad case of 'choke' to me, but I'm hardly a fb fanatic. Even most of the milabuck commercials were lame. Nothing memorable...
The Puppy Bowl seemed to be the better choice of the evening, and that's really sad, y'all. *L*
