Merlin el mago,
could you kindly post the picture of the settings that you use in REW "Soundcard"?
Thank you

If you make the export as wav file there are some options to choose. Can you advise which choices too make?

Sample Rate: 44.1K
Levels: Use mains speakers to check/set levels (I don't have subwoofer)
Output device: Look for your soundcard model
Input device: Look for your mic model
You must calibrate your soundcard doing a loop back before making the measurements http://www.roomeqwizard.com/help/help_en-GB/html/calsoundcard.html#top

I have tried different output settings and upload them in the brutefir settings in Daphile.
After that i save and restart Daphile but after that no sound. Songs will not play.
soundcard is also not detected or Daphile puts it on Disabled.
After a reboot or 2 i manage to set it on normal settings and then there is music again.
So no luck with filters yet 😕

Did measure and in the latest version of Daphile 192000 is auto selected.
We used a umik-1 and measured.
i made a few EQ corrections in the bass region.
I do have doubts about the REW output i made (i use REW for the first time)
1. I load the initial measurement in REW, adjust frequency scale and so on
2. Then click the EQ button and load my earlier made EQ filter. set it to generic and save it.
3. To make the export file i have to close/minimize the EQ Filters screen and i go to the main REW screen (where my initial measured frequency is displayed) and export a wav file.
4. That i upload to the left and right channel Brutefir in Daphile.
I think i need to do something extra at step 3... (assign it?)

Remember that you have save & restart Daphile to set the new BruteFir settings or Daphile don't change the new BruteFir settings.

Merlin excuse me,
I think, however, you should not export to Mono 16 bits?
the readings are not individual to each channel?
EQ filter is here, see attached pic. When you press "EQ filters" open a new window with the filters, see the other attached pic.

I measure both channels for digital room correction, I only measure individual channels to make crossovers.

I guess can be mono or stereo only 16 bits or you create a very long filter and can't work well in Daphile.
I'm trying to use Daphile with a "no-dac", just an Amanero USB device with dsd outputs to a low pass filter straight into preamp.
I've got it to work with JRiver upsampling pcm to dsd, and it is very promising, but no success using daphile, I get sound but distorted, so I'm thinking I may have the daphile settings wrong.
Of course I'm using the daphile pcm-dsd conversion.
Anyone have success with this approach, or have ay suggestions.

Today I saw that a new Beta-version was released a couple of days ago; a fix was made to address this problem:This weekend I wanted to use my Raspberry-Pi (with a I2S HifiBerry DAC) again with piCorePlayer, so downloaded and installed the latest version of piCorePlayer. For some reason I was not able to play FLAC or WAV files (MP3 worked well, so I knew the DAC was working). I am using the latest Daphile version which I installed this weekend through the update button.
After a lot investigation I discovered that the problem resides in the fact that Daphile transcodes the data from FLAC (or WAV) to DSF. I'm not sure why this happens (I assume that this is caused by the combination of squeezelite and Daphile (I also tried LMS v7.9 from another PC and that worked without any problem)). I also use a SB-Touch and never had a problem in playing lossless audio via Daphile.
In order to "solve" the playback problem I changed the config of the -c flag:
-c flac,pcm,mp3,ogg,aac,wma,alac,mad
(Not sure you need to add all of these, but it seems to work for at least FLAC and WAV). After this the FLAC and WAV files played again.
I don't know if you need to do this for all I2S-DACs, perhaps if you use one which also plays DSD it works without modifying the config. I also have a USB-DAC which supports DSD-playback, but I was not able to play audio via USB as well when I connected this DAC to my piCorePlayer.
Anyway, I hope this info is useful for my fellow Daphile-users 😀
"New beta version is now available. It fixes the compatibility problem with non-Daphile squeezelite based players (eg. piCorePlayer). There is also a new feature to drag-and-drop songs from desktop file manager to the right panel of Audio Player. Also included is the improved CPU microcode update (to improve stability) and some other bug fixes."
Indeed I can now play without the modification 🙂

Show pics of your Daphile settings.

Got it going with a JLSounds board, daphile doing the conversion of pcm to dsd 128.
Sounds good. Using one of nautiboys mute boards to kill pops etc. Output signal off the JLSounds into muteboard/ low pass filter and straight into high gain tube preamp.
See the best dac is no dac on digital line forum.
Shutdown problem
Today, I install a second server. Everything OK but the server doesn't shutdown properly. It "hangs" ... On a monitor, I see the server going shutdown, but it goes not "off". Mainbord Jetway 2920 Bay Trial, latest official Daphile version. Installed from Unebootin USB install stick. Any ideas??
