Small panic attack  I have ordered/paid for the F6 Boards & Tx package.
And the matched Jfets package:
Matched JFET pairs (Grade B) - Parts

Now I'm wondering if these are actually For the F6 build??
Photo sure doesn't look like ones that are bolted to the Heatsink.

Help?

If you look at 6L6s pictures at the front of this thread, those transistors are zip-tied to each other (for thermal similarity).

The power mosfets are larger, and flat, and you have to order those with the other parts.

Thank you ..The store's parts photos (not to mention Inexperience) were confusing me

That said; does anyone have a Rudimentary Mouser BOM ?
Asking because there is Fair chance that I will bungle the order.
I'm finding hunting through their catalogue as intimidating, simply too many choices.

Two questions re this build: First, Jim's initial photos show the boards and outputs attached to the heatsink prior to running the wiring to the boards. Is this just for illustration purposes, or is this the way to proceed? (In other words, can I make all solder connections with the (stuffed) boards mounted?)

Second, what type of fuses are used with the Schurter switch/fuse holder included with the Store back panel parts for the 4U and 5U chassis?

Getting close. Have modified the boards for degeneration from the start, and have chokes for a CLC power supply. Hoping this will be the best-sounding amp in the tri-state area.;-)

Thank you.. Yess understand it's not essential, but will I be regretting the easy choice.. after it's finished .. the Usual scenario.
Will there be audible differences? My hearing, while tested as good, isn't that of a Teenager either :)

I intentionally looked for UNMATCHING. Hahahaha
I don't like throwing out perfectly good 2nd harmonic. :D
That's just me though.

Just build it and have fun, it's a great amp. Don't worry about matching.
