The memory on a lot of these units is maintained by a SuperCap. Have a look around for a ridiculously high value capacitor 1F 5.5V used to be common.

That's a valid point, but there are no obvious high-value caps found in the schematic. The processor concerned is a µPD1711CU with RAM backup. However, pin 25, the chip enable line when taken low, reduces the current consumption to around 10µA.

It's not clear whether the OP is able to save and retrieve stations while the unit is powered on, or whether it is forgetting the stations as soon as the power is turned off. I would expect a faulty capacitor to only affect the latter condition.

When you turn on the receiver back on immediately lose the stored channels!

Best Regards,
Thank you, but I am sorry, I do not speak or have time to translate to and from your native language(s). I prefer to communicate in English only and will only respond in the forum. However, if you have a specific difficulty in understanding something, please ask and I will try to help.

1) 30% of what? Do you mean 30% of what you would expect?

2) What audio sources are you testing with?

3) Are both the left and right channels equally affected?

Please answer all questions!

1) Hears about 30% is in music and speech, when potentiometer for volume of resiver is on the max level (Music and speech in this case should be on max. an no about 30%)!
2) I am testing audio sources with radio station from the tuner of receiver (Now a working stereo and tuning, but music is at about 30%, when the potentiometer for the volume to maximum-where is the problem?)
3) yes!

3) yes!

It might be that the tuner section ONLY has a low output level.

1) Is AM reception louder than FM reception?

2) Can you test the other line inputs, for example CD input and report back please.

(We need to discover if the fault is in the tuner or the amplifier).

With CD imput is OK!-checked,
When I set voltage at TP1 and TP2 with L101 to about 0Vdc, (and preveos was 7V) stereo started to run and also tuning, but sound on both channels is low (about 30% of maximum)
