Quantum Signal Enhancer Disassembly

Took a look under the aluminum foil, all I found was glue.

I read the material safety data sheet for methylene chloride:dead:. So I won't be dissolving the acrylic, someone else will have to do it. 🙂

When you opened it up you let the magic out, you totally ruined it! 🙄

Maybe you could use the foil to make a hat. 😉

Thanks Destroyer OS and Max for adding your inputs.
IN THE BEGINNING, (20 years ago) the working resistor was .3 ohms or so. About 10 years ago, it changed to 0.025 ohms. The resistor is necessary BUT not the active ingredient. The resistor is just a resistor, however the later resistors, (like the ones shown on the internet) are better resistors for the job, than typical resistors. Why, is another story, and they are typically not commercially available over the counter.

Rubbish, more mysticism...

I am now listening to my big system to FM and rather surprised on how good it is sounding. Just like the people were in the room. Then I remembered that I was also listening to the Bybee-Curl power conditioner that I was given recently. It must be the difference. No, they are not for sale anymore, so I never made a nickel from them, BUT at least I was given the prototype as a payment instead. Better than money.

Can you say what your contribution was to it, now?

Not really, you have no idea what you are talking about, Marce. Sorry, what is inside is classified (not by me), but it is not ordinary in any case.
Someday, I might be able to make a simplified version, with just my own input, and see how it fares, but not at this time. For the record, MY contribution is just engineering, not physics.

There are a few reviews floating around the net, some more positive than others, but the three I read all agree that they make a difference. From memory there is another thread on DIYA that talks about these. If I recall correctly there was talk of having some blind tests, that would be fantastic.

Classified, that's usually used for military stuff....
Its a mains filter, not a lot of magic going on in there. it would be nice if the mysticism could be left out, it is engineering and physics not magic... there are some who do believe in magic as previous posts have shown, I'm not one of them I want facts about a product not magic.....
Keep Audio Real.

Emperors new clothes syndrome.... Rife in esoteric audio, where they will shy away from any scientific tests such as DBT.

Explain $2000 dollar cables🙂 Wire sounds different, capacitors and resistors do too, why wouldn't these things? I am not an advocate of these as I have never heard them, but they certainly cause a stir on the forum when ever mentioned.

Do they though.... any proof that the changes are audible....

$2000 cables, well if the shucks by them someone's gonna sell them.....

I have heard differences in wire, resistors capacitors etc. I don't know if I could accurately pick which is which in blind tests, but things do sound different.
I once changed some capacitors in an amp on the lounge floor with a friend who is an electrical engineer. He was telling me what a waste of money it was etc and then he was quite amazed at the difference. My wife was at the far end of the room cooking and she could hear a difference and commented on it. There is no doubt in mind that components sound different, its just putting a price on them that I struggle with, and I don't think that different will always be better. I'm naturally cynical as are many on this thread but I have seriously considered buying these, but there is always something else that seems more important to spend my money on.
