Europe Audio - dreadful experience

This is an age old trick.
Keeping punters money to earn interest / robbing peter to pay paul.

I could take screenies of this thread, convert them for uploading to my youtube channel and spam every audio related forum with links.

Incidentally, it's because of this kind of behaviour / this Very thread that has put me off buying ANYTHING to do with audio on-line.

I wouldn't go that far... I've had very pleasant dealings with other companies with online stores. And I usually hate to have to pay more for the exact same thing. But I think I'll revert back to only shop online from companies that also have a true real life store somewhere.

I've mentioned it before, I had used this particular shop 4 times before without any problems. It's the silence, no answers that was bugging me most.
Silence and Audio components huh? Go figure 🙄

I had nothing but joy dealing with Lean Business and Falcon Audio online.

One bad apple doesn't necessarily ruin the whole basket.

...But the broadly named Europe Audio does have a true, real life "store" indeed... !

hahaha, I've seen that... but the true Europe Audio is located behind that house if you ask me. Look closer, there's a storage facility behind that house. I've even been around the block in Google to even see the other side 😉.
I don't remember where I read it exactly but it's an online only web store. No real store you can walk into. Visiting them only by appointment. I would hate to try and make such an appointment. So far I have not had any human contact as far as I'm aware. Though I'm pretty sure this thread is monitored every once in a while.

I just can't come up with a good reason for letting us hang for so long. Yes I understand the motivation Sippy put up but I like to believe in the good of people. Naïve as that may be. I hope to see improvement, but I don't think it will make me re-think trying to order again without being given a very good reason. Kind of sad really, it could have been a great online shop.

Seems to be better to search for an alternative source... The website looks promising with a lot of stuff but then anyone could set one up with a lot of links - pictures doesn't cost much keeping in store. I am another sucker waiting for parts that doesn't seem to be shipped 🙁.

Regards

I do not think that Europe Audio are doing this.

I have ordered with them a number of times and if the products you are ordering are in stock then they get sent out to you immediately and arrive within a couple of days.

The trouble comes when they do not have your item in stock. I think, as has been said before, that EA do not have everything in stock, or carry a limited amount of stock. When you pay for something they do take your money but I think this is usually because they use your money to purchase the item from the main supplier.

None of this is a problem, the problem is the shear lack of communication it's pathetic. You always do get your item if they are still in production it can just take sometime.

The real problem comes when you get a faulty item and need to communicate with EA to replace it...then you receive nothing in terms of communication and do not get your item replaced.

I had this trouble with them, I purchase some Dayton Tweeters, granted not expensive, but had to wait months for them to eventually arrive. One of them was faulty and measured way out of spec, after numerous emails send with graphs showing the issues I never received a word.

This is the reason why I will not use EA. Or at least I will not use them unless it's absolutely necessary.

It's a shame really all they would need to do is sort out the communication issue and business would be excellent.

I don't believe they carry any stock, just the website telling us they stock almost everything. Furthermore they seem to have trouble obtaining most brands these days, that might have financial reasons (I don't know ins and outs of this part of hifi market in the Netherlands/N.Europe)
