I am heading to Vancouver later this week. Any recommendations for good vinyl record stores? Will also try to get back to the diyFest next month.
Vancouver vinyl stores:
Vinyl on hastings near Cambie
Zulu Records on 4th Ave
Red Cat on Main street
Neptoon Records on Main street
Sikora's Classical and Beatstreet (hip-hop/techno/funk) are both on Hastings near Richards
Audiopile on Commercial drive

stochastic,
Thank you very much. I'm staying near downtown, so I should have an opportunity to get to most of these. Always looking for good vinyl wherever I go.

Those are not two words I associate with B.C. 🙁
AFAIK, BC is the only place in Canada that has a desert. I think Pano is thinking of the BC coast where water is not often in short supply. Right now though, it is almost drought conditions.

It also extends into Alberta.

Hi Cal
Carberry (Spirit Sands) Desert (Manitoba) on TripAdvisor: Address, Top-Rated Geologic Formation Reviews
Not defined as a desert by rainfall but there is a lot of sand.
Have a good time...won't be there this year.

We are sad that DUG will not be there. We like sand dunes and all but are you maybe hanging out in the BC desert or are you stuck in Ont?
B.C. is home to Canada's only true desert

Stuck here in Ont getting BC's rain.
🙁
Hoping LottoMax kicks in and I can go where I want-when I want.

Thanks Stochastic! A few I have missed 😀
Looks like I am also clear to spend another weekend with my "Audio-Nutbar" friends. I have a few family things to do but I think I will be able to spend most of my time up on the hill with you all.
Dave can I set up my little trailer in the top driveway again?
No burning stone this year

Things are getting iffy down here in Puget Sound. DaveR and TerryO won't be coming this year. Not sure if I can do it unless I find at least one travel companion to share some cost.
Still hoping,
John

Huge disappointment! Some shirtless pyrotechnics are always fun.
It looks 99% that I'll be coming, although only for the 1 day Saturday. Still need a lift or a rental car. I'm likely staying at RRU, is that close enough to just call a cab?

Nearly half of the land mass in this province can be described in precisely that way during the summer months. The Island and coast is just where most of the people live.
Head into the interior and expect HOT and DRY. There's no two other words that are better equipped to describe it. 🙂
I am going to make every effort to get to the DIY fest this year. Not sure what I will bring...
