Well... I had to replace Schurter with an ordinary switch without filter.
The Schurter killed my dac's musicality. Dynamics suffered.
(Ps; this was on my previous dac, Buffalo. But I'm not tempted to try it on ddac)

This one is what I have. Each receptacle has it own Schaffner filter, and 4 of them has DC blocker filter, body is made from molded aluminium, powder coated. Really nicely done. Cost is about 180€ with no cable included. It is professional unit. I tried my system with and without it and lackly found no difference in sound at all. At the moment I can hear no noises coming from my power net at all. Even when vacum or dishwash mashine or drilling mashine is working. Total silence. FINALY.
My power grid is an old one, and there is a lot of garbage in the current in my condo.
Tested, and recommended!
But still it won't save your stuff from current spikes and surges :-/

Same here but with Schaffner. Removed it. Though I use the Silk.
Hi Chanh,
Would you mind telling me where you got the adapter that you use on the DDDAC main board to connect to the Cronus board with ufl cables. I don't think I have seen that little board before.
Cheers, Bryce.
DDDAC1794 NOS Configuration
I have read through all 457 odd pages of this forum and have seen some amazing builds. I would like to get involved in this group and would appreciate some advice. I am thinking of starting with a basic system consisting of two DAC modules stacked with CineMag CMLI-15/15B transformers on the output.
The rest of my audio chain is not as esoteric as a number of the contributors here. I am using a Yamaha C-85 preamp to drive two bridged AVA-HiFi (Dynaco) ST-70 tube amps. I am only using the C-85 for volume control and as a power amplifier bridge.
I am planning on driving the DAC through I2s using a BeagleBone Black / Hermes / Cronus combination and using MPOD & MPAD for control. I have a growing collection of 96K & 192K FLAC files as well as a reasonable collection for 44.1K FLAC files on a networked PC.
I am wondering if the two DAC module stack with be a good combination with the CineMag transformers. Or will I require a buffer board between the DAC and the transformers. My preamp only has single ended input, so how do I go about matching it to the DAC output? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Bryce.

That little ufl adaptor was sent to me from Acko. I got it from him so I can use his Acko S03 sync-reclocking board. You might find some pics on my previous posts here. It cost $10.
When you are using TP Hermes/Cronus, I think you can connect direct to the pin headers from both Cronus to DDDAC i2s headers. So this little board is nothing but cosmetic! 🙂
Hope it helps.

Correct! That is why I invested in a power regeneration/filter from PS Audio PW power plant P10. Personally, I found passive power filters rob dynamics and degrade somewhat the SQ. Of course, you will disagree! 🙂there is surges everywhere.

Agree😀
Regeneration is the best
