Unless the core is cracked you could rewire it using the same core.

I've tried to rewind it. It didn't work.
Have you scoped both channels to make sure each side signal is the same ?
If it is cracked or broken you could try glueing it.
Are you sure the output caps aren't shorted ?

It's a mono block. The inductors are in series. I have checked the voltage swing and waveform on each one. Nothing abnormal.

Try swapping them in position, and see if the same one still heats up.
Tried that, too. The one I re-wound still heats up.
Ok, then toss it. That's a bad core.
I would replace and/or re-wind BOTH CORES.
It's possible the one that is shorted is the one not getting hot, causing the other core to take on the full voltage of the carrier causing the heat, instead of them evenly dividing it.
That amp is worth repairing, especially just over toroid cores!
