Thanks a lot for your compliments, when I thought of designing that board I was a total newbie, I'm still a newbie, but as you, I had learned a lot from people of the forum and somehow I had my debt with this community. At the time I did that design, only the YJ red board was available, a board that was not easy enough for newbies as I am to mod, And only smd option so I decided to make that one with that porpoise, to give something back to the people of this forum.

Yes, you are right I designed that board following the TI schematic, I posted it, and some members like Jean Paul and Saturnus where very helpful with some ideal matters that had to be apply to my design, like puting the boostrap caps closer to the IC and better using xr7 smd, also the inductors position... Later on it came the other improvements, that I did apply to my later design, that had pads and holes to use either through holes or smd parts, the inductor where changed for smaller size from Bourns to fit in well in a 10x5cm... Etc


But in some mail exchanged with xrk were I told him that I was a bit upset that YJ copied my design, wich by the way my idea was to post it free for the forum members, but he told me, and he was right, that some how the fact that YJ copied, made things for the forum members easier, as each one could by it for a better price than buying the boards and the the parts from digikey or anyother, somehow I agree with this statement. The fact that YJ copied it, maybe was the best for us, we could get it already done for a few bucks, and it's a board that was easy to mod, so... What really matter at the end of this history, it's that my board still there, available for everyone at very reasonable price.

I still have those designs in my computer, even a design I made for xrk so he could have a board of the size of a minidsp to be easy to fit on top of it... Wich by the way I still owe him, the design it's finished, but never had the time to finish the BOM. That boards I believe it can be great as it can be used btl of pbtl, 2x100W or 4x50w, and has all the improvents that were reported here. I will try to post it in a while, I'm writing from my tablet right now....

My next idea was to design a board with the space enough for a little power caps bank and to be able to fit some edcors transformers.

I hope that in a couple months I might have the chance to go back to my little audio hobbie and be able to finish things I had to let in stand by... In fact I bought the other day the breeze amp, and a while ago I bought some tb tweeters for some project I would like to have done before the summer comes.

Great to hear from the famous Danzz again! I was wondering what happened to you. You are indeed very generous and all of us who enjoy a YJ Blue/Black are in debt to you. It would have been nice if you could have gotten some royalty from it. I say you are famous not only because of your board on this forum, but the moment someone's design shows up on Parts Express - you are in the Big Time! Congratulations!

No worries about the miniDSP board amp - I have plenty to keep me busy. I have a DUG PBTL but no time to solder. My big block is placing the order fo the BOM.

However, SMPS on the mono is dead silent, but consider the mono has better parts, better design, avcc mod (cap right on the pin), parts are closer to chip all reducing noise. You wont get that with any of the Chinese boards that I know of.

Are you saying that the DUG PBTL with quality components and no Cinemags beats any other Chinese made board (like YJ Blue/Black) with Cinemags?

More motivation to order the BOM and get crackin' with the soldering!

HAHAHA!!!... Im in the hall of fame!!!!... I just checked out, I didnt know PE was selling that board!!!.... The most funny of all that there is a question regarding the pop up noise... the person even wonders how a board with the pop up noise was brought to the market!!!...hehehe... I answered him pointing him to this thread to find out the part of the solution...

Somebody registered at PE with danzz name for PE forum, jeje your name even gets copied jejejeje

Royalties and American seller might be easier than collecting anything from Chinese producer, I don't know 😀

jeje then you were already answering questions about your copy YJ boards PE is offering for sale, you just didn't know PE was selling them too🙂 better post you are shocked they are selling your stolen ampboard too LOL

American law even a little stricter than European law we know, seller has bigger obligations/responsibilities, so PE being American seller of YJblue is a easier target for "royalties" just make an account at eg HarvardLaw fora and ask some students, you could scare them to hell jejejaja (or something like that in familiar language🙂 Offcourse you feel betrayed by Americans supporting Chinese theft, I would too, very seriously, being famous in America doesn't make up for this

This one looks sweet, $50, bluetooth 4.0, RCA inputs, bluetooth connection automatically takes priority over analogue in when a phone's connected. If I had the money I'd get in in a heartbeat.
