I started out with opa2134, put the originals back in, got opa627, and lme49720ha for servo.
My board may be a bit different, as it's a dac5(same I/V as dac7).
I ended up with burson modules, and lme49720ha for servo.
A huge improvement was gained from the caps though.

Hi ClaveFremen...

I have enjoyed the reading of the tweaks you've done to the DAC9.

I'm going to order at mouser very very soon.

Are these the Wima FKP2, you have used as replacement.

505-FKP2220/100/2.5 mouser ???

The same serie for the 3300pF ???

/Thanks Michael.

Hi.

Received my DAC9 this afternoon.. This is ver 1.2 and I have a lot of stuff coming from
mouser for tweaks , Caps op Amps etc.

Does anyone has this version 1.2 ???.

Just to be fair, it's very very good out of the box. I had some "burned-in"
old op Amps AD711KN, these are much better in my setup, than the stock
5534...

My Setup is a 4P1L pre and 2a3DC 3.5 watt power , so pure DHP/DHT tubes.

/Michael.

weiliang is a cool guy, we were just talking about some other things a couple of hours ago,

cuz I am sort of his distributor ,and I was hoping for a super discount from his flagship 9018-dac (almost 2k rmb , about 300 usd)

but he told me i should try this ak4399 instead.

so i got one ~not sure how long it will take for the shipping last time was like 5 days ~

btw his sec2 (the nice looking 9023 one is really good for the money 2)

yes, but it is only about 500rmb for retail.

this shenzhenaudio site looks like a dropsale site, cuz he has no distributor oversea~ or in shenzhen for that matter~

everything is from his taobao store

Hi Guys.

First part of upgrade, inspired by ClaveFremen.

I want to get rid of all the "blue epos" or whatever they are called.

Panasonic TSHA plus half done with the Wima.

When installed the Wima, there where certain improvement in midrange
and top treble, which just makes the music flow even less restrictive.

Panasonic TSHA was a really "killer" upgrade, but also the Wima FPK-2 220nF
was very very nice...
