My Class D amp. 2*L15D+Connexelectronic SMPS800RE. Supply voltage +/-58 v.🙂
My congratulations on the completion of Project Michael!
Abletec d-amp
Hi,
just finished one more abletec amp:
More pics and other amps here:
DIY Amps
I'm also interested in the AMS0100 which is the smaller brother to the AMS1000 (as a high frequency amp in an active setup). Anyone having experience with it yet or any other recommendations for high frequency duty?
Regards. Erik

I got a cable kit for my AMS1000, but they only had a few left when I asked. Both signal and speaker cable were included.
Profusionplc will not be selling the AMS0100 in the few months, the interest is too small and they still have a lot of ALC0100 left.

Right channel without/with 8 Ohm||0,1mkF loading. Output voltage 38vPP.
Best regards.
I miss the inductive load.
On the ams1000 the connector CON1 is indeed difficult because it is so small. The crimp contractors have an overall length of approx 3mm. I was successful with soldering but I'd prefer to buy contractors with cables already connected. On my site there are details for sourcing of these.
Besides this the AMS1000 is a great amp.

OMG, that's AWESOME! I'm jealous, is this your build? Are you bridging each channel? (using any fans?) With that Anaveiw top piece, I'd be tempted to do a lexan clear plastic top.
My own micro boombox.
Old arjen helder ta2022 board
Sure Bluetooth module
7Ah SLA battery
Tang Band W3-1053SC 3" Full Range Driver
Box is basically a Planet 10 micro fonken pair built in one piece - there are discreet left and right chambers.
Sounds pretty good, will get broken in good at my daughters softball game this weekend.

Two (i.e. three) variants of the TPA3116 Clas D amp - one (in the black enclosure, middle right) is in a repurposed external HDD enclosure, and the other two (silver ones) are as bought from ebay - and on one of those I've changed the front panel using wood.... I kinda like wood more for the front panel 🙂 The black box on the bottom right is an external WD hard disk.
The bigger box with the LCD on the lower left is a DIY audio server, running Raspberry Pi + Wolfson audio card (24/192), plus LCD display and a remote sensor (it's controlled either by the remote control via IR, or using a tablet/smartphone and any of the available MPD clients...).
I'm enjoying this combo - the TPA3116 amps are realy nice.... 🙂

I thought it would be time to show some of my finished projects.
First one is TA2024 and it's my very first audio DIY project. I got the inspiration from here. It was very nice introduction to amp building.
Second one is TPA3116, built using famous Yuan Jing board. "Enclosure" was built using what I happened to have at hand. Next time I will try to find something more appropriate.
Both feature foxy orange led.

Sure Class D 100W power amp
Here is a 100W Class D I put together around the $30 Sure Class D modules. Enclosure is a 2U 19" dampened rack mount. It has two switchable inputs; one with a Alps pot and 4oz solid brass knob for sources which do not have attenuators and one which connects direct to the power module. 10A rec. bridge and 30,000uf of filtering\storage provide 25V to the brd. Solid brass speaker binding posts, heavy gold plated RCAs, silver plated copper wire in the audio path, a power filter and ferite power cord choke round-out the compliment,
I have only had a short chance to listen to the amp quietly on test speakers so hard to comment on performance. But it will come.

Hello Every one,
Some amazing talent here! I will go back and read every post in this thread, but can I ask a dumb question? I do not have the design knowledge for the above projects but have had some luck with repairs to basic (class A B) amps.
I'm looking for a used amp in the 1000 Wpc range, but highest possible fidelity. Are there any, or is it impractical to look for a class AB amp this big? (power consumption etc.) What about class H or G verses D?
I assume that class AB would have the highest fidelity. I am only buying, not building, but I would like to have more understanding of what I'm getting into.
Thanks, Peter from Canada

1000W 2 ohm 4 ohm or 8 ohm?
There are many proamps with this power, and they can sound amazing.
Maybe a Crown K2 - don't remember the class though.
