Not too clear, but here are a few... Is the Blonde different from the Black version?

Jazbo8-

I did find that one on a google search and they are pretty good. There is another one also from that same site. Thanks again for taking the time to look. It would be great if there was a wiring diagram somewhere. Thanks!

Is the one above you are interested in? I assume you have the schematic already, so it should be relatively easy to trace out the wiring from the picture if you want to clone it. Here is a detail build log, even though it does not follow the original wiring, you still can get some ideas from it.

Wow! Cool blog. Amazing craftsmanship. I wish I had all those tools. The re-issue version is slightly different (12ax7 and EL84). Also, I won't be using a circuit board. The main reason I wanted a gut shot was to see different ways in which people handled the 3 filter caps or multi can. Wanted to see an original as well as a refurbished or rebuilt one. Also interested in checking out the grounding scheme.

FWIW my FIRST tube amp build, in February 1969 (seems like yesterday) was a clone of a Gibson GA5, straight from the Jack Darr book pages, with a 12AX7, a 6V6 and a silicon rectifier , all solid wire bent to 90 degrees á la Hiwatt, etc.
Boy was I proud !!! 🙂

So this post sure brings some warm memories up 🙂

Thanks for posting. 🙂
