I ordered a set of these from flebay 2 x 12 volt solar panels 4w 4 watts 12v or 24v VW camper caravan motorhome lorry | eBay
I know its only 4 watts with the 2 cells but for the price you cant go wrong, or you could get one of those solar briefcases and take the cells out of the case.

sorry for interrupt the thread, but I need the info about batteries chargers. What are the best deals now? Looking for a lifepo4 cells + charger or SLA-gel with charger. Need 24v since I am runing a tk2050.

Nope, they are more or less the same as your previous resistors; wirewound power resistors, these just have a higher power rating than your previous resistors. You should still use the metalfilm or carbon composite resistors instead.

A question regarding the Mini Boominator v2 if I may:
Was the choice to use 6 and 12 mm parts based on building convenience oe driven by acoustic considerations? I am happy to build it as designed but have a joinery idea that would be easier if I used 9mm for the whole exterior (keeping interior dimensions unchanged of course.

It seems like they could be a good fit. Do you know if it's possible to take the frame of the cells?
I'm actually from switzerland.
My Maxamp20 distorts a lot when i turn the volume all the way up, what can i do to prevent that?

Reduce the gain by soldering the solderjumpers between the chip and input. The solder jumpers have the text "gain" and "left" and "right" next to them.

Powered up the Maxamp today with the bluetooth and my hifi speakers.
Plenty of power and it's so tiny. It's an impressive product.
I did note that the potometer was a must with the bluetooth reciever as the gain structure meant the lowest volume setting on my phone was loud. (I never tried the low gain setting)
Due to the output difference between the BT module and my phone I was wondering if I could wire a toggle switch to the jumpers to switch between high and low gain.
Does that work?

Hook up a potentiometer between the BT module and the amp. Then adjust it to the desired level. You could leave the potentiometer wired permanently, but you could measure the resistance and replace the pot with matching resistors.
I would use a passive attenuator in the signal path between the BT module and the Amp. I will probably have the same problem in my Boominator, as I'm using a switched 3.5mm input socket to be used with a iPhone and raspberrypi + DAC. The signal from the DAC is about twice as strong as the iPhone signal, so I will probably also have to use a passive attentuator to lower the signal of the DAC.
Edit: pretty much the same as what lutkeveld suggests.
A simple toggle switch will work fine to select the gain setting. Use something like hot glue after soldering the wires to the pads, to reduce the stress on the solder pads and prevent them from separating from the PCB.

Having a good look at the Maxamp jumpers makes me a bit nervous about soldering some wires onto it. There is not much room for error and my soldering iron (and skills!) are a bit rubbish.
Tried a 10k pot that I had at home post BT and it didn't do much. (Just to confirm i put the pot between one of the two wires on one channel post BT?)
I have found some mini pots on ebay:
5 Pack - Thumb Adjust Variable Resistors - Potentiometer, Preset, Trimmer, Pot | eBay
They have a 100k option. Nominal power= 0.15W
Would they work?
Otherwise it may be better to wait for someone else to suss out the right resistor first..
Also I have seen Saturnus's wiring diagram for the filters but I managed to confuse myself.
(n/b I have the Accusafe filter set)
So to confirm:
The 6.8uF MKTs go immediately before each individual tweeter on the positive side.
The resistors/chokes go immediately after each PAIR of tweeters on the negative side.
The 470uF Caps go immediately before each PAIR of drivers on the positive side.
And are these polarity dependent? (If so what side is what?)

Middle pin goes to the amp, right(looking from the backside of the pot) pin to the BT module and left pin to the ground. That should work, although I would use something like a 50K logarithmic.

How much does that effect the output?
Acctually, I have a 10K linear monopot wired to my Maxamp 20, the gain is set on high ("unmodded") and i can´t get it completely muted. I have a 20k and even a 50k on it´s way and will try them asap and hope one of them will let me adjust the volume from 0-100% and not 30-100% like im limited to today.
Of course it has to do with the gainsetting and how powerful the signal source is but in my case with a galaxy S4 and various mp3 players the 10K isn´t enough.
A little update to you in this matter:
I was wrong and want to tell you the solution. When i checked my wires again it turned out i had mixed up the yellow and black wires and therefore making the volume not fully muting
