A new BC550 has been soldered in place and I am now able to adjust both channels supplies. The Simplistic is sat on the workbench/dining room table warming up prior to making final adjustments.
A big thanks for the advices Salas. All being well I will have a listen within the next couple of days;unless I can't wait that long which is a distinct possibility 😀

Yes the p/s and phono are at the moment in cheap boxes from Maplin. All being well I will buy better cases from Modushop or possibly ehay in the new year as the phono boards are a tight fit.
FYI the phono boards fit nicely in a Galaxy Maggiorato GX287 (23 W x 8 H x 17 D cm) 😉...I will buy better cases from Modushop ...

I would advise closed case calibration check with crocodile clips hanging out for smaller form factor cases as the ambient delta will be higher from open case to lid put on.
@ Massimo thanks for the info. They are nice cases.
Salas;yes they are folded alluminium bases with vinyl covered steel tops.
I have the following voltages and wondered if TP1/TP2 measurement were close enough or should I fine tune them closer together.
LEFT RIGHT
VDC 42.4 42.5
G/P 33.2 33.3
TP1/2 3.88 3.71

They look nicely correlating, I would say you better take TP1/2 relation down to 3.4V with open case so to allow for some sliding when the box ambient temperature will go up with the lid on.
Another source for 2sk369bl
Semiconductor: 2SK369BL (2SK 369BL) - N-CHNL/J-FET / 40V / 10mA...
Most known for cd lens (at least for me)

4,11 Euros each😱
Sorry Salas, it 's a typo error. The K369 bl measured 14.04mA so i gather 10R is perfectly ok.Its 3.0R or 3.3R. If you use 3.9R it will lose half a dB of gain but it will be tad steadier. Use up to 0.5mV output cart when employing two K369BL.
P.S. 9.1R-10R is for 14mA Idss.

Tea Bag was matching for the mini-kits else it was ampslab or ebay I think.
I bought mostly through ampslab and another member who had a significant stash.
I just ordered 500 more of them from ampslab, and some 2SK170's too.
Doomsday prepping, in case of another GB 😛😛 Not having enough stock of these for GB seriously held back delivery times.
Onto more building discussion 🙂
Erlend, why do the caps have little carpets on them?😕
No % accuracy spec I see. At least you will know the components match between them. Absolute value remains to unknown spec. Maybe you could calibrate against a known accuracy LCR to discover its trends.
Yes its alright. What will be the cartridge?
I will be testing with modded denon 103. There is dynavector DVX1S waiting on the wing.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Yes China made @ 25$ is prob. not the best money can bay.
I thought about borrowing a LCR meter calibrated from job but with my long projects its nice to have one at home.
Will take the tester into work and test it up against a calibrated tester
