Have you built a mains bulb tester? Sometimes referred to as "dim bulb tester".

yes i always use it,but the problem is i dont know hou to make a propre star ground,thats why my projects have been unsucessfull

Only once a project blew up,the other times i just threw the chips out thinking they were faulty but it was the ground,but will a 25w bulb protect agains a reverse polarity on amp

Yes, there is mistake, MJ15004 must be rotate 180deg.
