Limited library, weird interface on Win8 as far as I can tell. It might work better in older versions of Windows. The full app costs as usual.

It is a Win 8 app so is seriously limited by Microsofts limitations.
It is written in C++ so is very fast.
It is free so don't expect the earth !
You can get the full strength Windows version at:

i would estimate this amp at around 80Wat 8ohm with +/-45V rails. and with only 2 output pairs, i would not push it any more. where do the 500W come from? peak power at 1ohm and blown outputs?

Taking v squared over 4 ohms gives 500 watts with +/-45 volts.
This is a peak value.
I absolutely flogged it to death over driving it for about an hour and it survived very well.
Probably due to not scrimping on the heatsink or output transistors.

lol
Windows 8 app wont work on previous versions of Windows !
Windows apps are very cut down desktop apps with some serious limitations for security reasons.
This app is only meant as a taster for the full desktop version.

I was just being kind. It doesn't work on Windows 8 for me at all! My reference to other versions of Windows was in reference to their full app which they are offering on their website. The Win8 version is not a good taster for anything in my opinion. Have you tried it?

Whatever you say! You must know a lot about Windows programming.

As I said earlier, try it and see if you still think so.

I have been writing Windows programs since around 1985.
From Assembler upto Delphi, C++ and c#
The desktop version has to work on any version of Windows from XP onwards which it does very well.
Having sold around 700 copies and had very little poor feedback your comments will be taken with a pinch of salt.
This is the danger of attempting to speak about something you know very little of !
45*45/4=506W peak. but do you get that with a +/-45V supply?
45/1.414=31.82V
31.8*31.8/4=252W at 4ohm
my bet is that you get around 35V out of it.
35/1.414=24.75
24.75*24.75/4=153W at 4ohm
and this is with say 1000VA transformer pr ch. smaller then that, the voltage will drop a bit, and Power vil also drop.

to give you a better idea, take rails at full power, divide that by 3, then sqaure it and then divide that with the load impedance and you will get a better view of the power...
