Hi aditya,
I dont have the code you got for tda7439 & SI4703 (hdd crash)
If you have them mail it and schematic of board for buttons ect

i ahd the code of si4703 but similar to you i had suffered a backup hard drive failure along with loos off my Flamingo flying pics.... they were beautiful... 🙁
Finally got the time to do something with my volume control.
Got it out of my shed and going to solder 2 buttons and wire everything to the atmega.
And still need go get a programer for it (Atmega8515 and Atmega16)

Missing info about setup of ports and pins for TDA
hii we had kept TDA7439 on Atmega8 , i will give you the schematics for TDA7439 in a days times thanks.
Hii this is what i have of TDA7439's processor side schematics.
I also think we will need M32 or a bit larger one since Si4703 was bigger one compared to TDA7439's routine
i would like to keep the TDA7439 as it is and add one more switch for radio, and a rotary encoder to trune the radio.
so that would make 2 rotary enocder and 2 switchs.

I was looking to this display:http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/291/NHD-2.23-12832UCY3-52838.pdf
and this one: http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/291/NHD-0216KZW-AB5-51365.pdf
Could someone more knowledgeable to tell me if they would work in the ATMEGA8515-PGA2310 configuration discussed here ?
The standard 16x2 display that i use is a bit hard to read from more than 2 meters.

Hi,
Before you go get a OLED Display Module :
check if the controller can be used in bascom
standart is HD44780
there is a lot of OLED Display that do not work as standart !!!!!
see BASCOM-AVR
why not try find 16x2 large/big charset lcd on ebay ect
Got everything wire up and ready for testing but...
Having trouble programing the Atmega and going to give up for today.
Can any one recommend a cheap programer ? the one I have is one made with just some resistors on a DB25 plug (isp programer).

You need a programmer that can program FUSEBITS !!!
look for USBasp like this
or check bay for a AVR MRKII / USBASP
atmega is default 1 Mhz in clock in most of the code we have clock 8 Mhz
Hi FarmTech
Found USBASP on the *bay
Ponyprog does fusebits.
I have the freeware version of Bascom AVR but apparently it doesn't take files bigger then 4K and I really don't want to pay for something I'm only planing to use once.

LCD panel assembly.
Instead of using a transparent CD case, i use a glass for the window cover.

If you only burn the bin or hex you do not need something else , only for compiling more that 4K you need licence .
You can ask someone that have licence for Bascom to do the firmware and you only program using Bascom and USBASP .
Hi Danzup,

any provision to add a trigger supply section? to control the amplifer on/off?

Is already included in current firmware v3.5
There are two open collector transistors for amplifier/preamplifier power On/Off and tube plate delay (see schematic J7 connector).
All you need is to connect them to an adequate relay.

Thanks Tibi, so a 5v relay will do?
Yes, but choose the proper relay up to your amplifier power.

tibi
