With the performance standard set by RD30 itself, the matching I/V stage should perform in the same league. The RD30IV is a transimpedance stage using current steering ; the I/V conversion is actually resistive. It is a fully discrete design, using matched low noise transistor arrays THAT320 and 340 with zero global feedback. Power supply is made with schottky rectifiers and shunt regulators. Only AC power is needed to fire up the board. And a RD30 wouldn’t hurt, too 🙂

very nice. what's the noisefloor of your measuring instrument?
This graph shows exactly the noisefloor of an old measurement setup - so it is not relevant - but I cannot delete it 🙂
The relevant graph is is post 24 from the RD30 dac thread - which shows actual RD30+IV performance.
Does anyone have a print for the back with the xle/,spdif ,etcconnections. I've been listening to wonderful music out of this thing too long not to have it cased properly.
thanks
