I removed the stuffing extending beyond the fold, thus only half-ways is quite sufficient.
....Waiting for the 'as built' pictures...😀
PS: BTW: Do you have any means to take measurement when finished?
b🙂
Hi bjorno, OK cool I'll just put it in the rear chamber.
Driver is on it's way but probably be a while with the XMas post.
Got the MDF though so I'll get cracking over the XMas break.
Do you think it would be of any detriment or benefit to put the port as a slot at the very top of the front baffle. (@ S4)?
The sub will sit behind the settee and only just peek out from the back, about 5>6"..... a slot would vent to free air rather than into the back of the settee.
No way of measuring even though I do have a kit of bits for a mic that never made it 😱 .... another one on the shelf!... My ears will tell me if it's right.
Cheers

No,and the only benefit would be that the enclosure is then easier to build.

Best performance is achieved near a corner floor/wall junction, worse half-ways up to the ceiling, i.e. centered on a wall.
The T-TQWT is a pressure source with no directional dispersion and will not reveal its location if placed right and the XO is set properly. You will here all bass coming from your main speakers only.

for the watts I've put 125 so Eg is 30.98.
I find a ~5dB difference.😕
Compared to what. What is confusing? 125W/8Ohm requires a Rms voltage of ~31.63 (V)
What do you think about the impulse response ?
Excellent of course.. 😉 If you do the necessary investigation of this box when properly stuffed with damping material.
The picture showing the HR IR is almost impossible to interpret unless the impulse is magnified and chopped into small pieces in order to give any on psycho acoustic observation based reliable clues of the perceptible performance.
I find any attempts to base assumptions on how a T-TQWT/T-QWP or even a multi-folded TH will perform viewing the HR IR to being an utterly impossibility.
Have a look at the submitted picture to get a clue.

I dislike Phantom that hangs down that isn't centered at the ear-height.
Never XO above 145 Hz(LR4): Concerning the driver next to the floor.
Drivers that are XO:d at or above ~250 Hz should be placed as high as possible.
Actually with 3 woofers in a vertical row there will be one near the floor and one quite high up anyway right? TCan we assume the average distnace from the floor would be the center of the middle woofer which would mean about 16-20" from the floor.
The question I was asking was comparing the SW182 with the WF182. Which one would be preferable in a tower application?
a. The SW 182 has more Xmax (better excursion) but higher Le see figures 4-6 in the pdf below
http://www.wavecor.com/SW182BD01_in_Voice_Coil_Feb._2010.pdf
OR
b. The WF 182 has lower Le but has limted excursion see figure 3-5 in the link below

Since you have experience with Wavecor, how well are they built compared to the L18 or L22 from SEAS Prestige or 18W8546/8545 from ScanSpeak?
SW26DAC76-8 - SB Acoustics shallow 10 inch subwoofer - Europe Audio
from SB acoustics, expensive, but then again it is a proper 'sub' driver and designed specifically for narrow installations.
What about this one from TB it is cheaper and also quite shallow.
WT-1427G - TB speakers 10 inch subwoofer - Europe Audio
Then again the larger 10" woofers would need to go on the side of teh cabinet and not on the front baffle is teh cabinet front is required to be narrow. That might affect how/where the driver is crossoved over.

well, I'm confuse...
On the pict I joined with my and your sims, one could see a 5dB difference.
I try to know why ?😕
Did I entered wrong values ?
Why the Eg on mine is 30.98 ?
Thx for the answer / IR , it's more clear now.

Cheers.
